ie just prime factorizations exist

So do they mean every single number bigger than 1 have a product of prime numbers.
Because the thing is 2= 2×1 and 1 isn't prime, I tried considering decimals bigger than 1 to get a product of 2,but still they're not prime and that's what confused me.
