for 13) a) given, g(f(a)) = g(f(b)) => f(a) = f(b) [since g(x) is an one-to-one function] =>a = b [since f(x) is an one-to-one function]

#

for 13)b) Your textbook will/should have it somewhere that: composition of two one-to-one function gives another one-to-one function. you could try to make diagram to check for yourself.

#

as for number 14..... Use the standard prove provided in the text as your answer for the one-to-one functions.... all i can say is that the only many-to-one function is: b number function, example: f(1) = 0.5 and f(0.5) = 0.5
