Nice
What
Confused by what
3 is the highest power
That divides both of the numbers powers
Well both numbers need to be a cube
I think that those are generally the only cubic formulas you need to know
I may be wrong though
and actually those 2 are the same
if you're given x^3 - y^3
you could theoretically turn it into x^3 + (-y)^3
and use the other formula
it should switch the signs of 2 things
reasonable
that doesn't necessarily preserve inequality
you need to multiply the same thing on both sides
like if the left side was -2 and the right side was -1
-2 < -1
multiplying by 2 and 5:
-4 > -5
in that case
you only need to multiply by 4
as that would simplify everything
multiply by the lcm
That is fine
You just need to get rid of the denominators
Ok
What did you get after multiplying everything by 4?
Less than?
Plug in 0
In the meantime multiplying everything by 4 gets us
2(5x + 1) >= x - 15 + 2(4)
10x + 2 >= x - 7
Ah
You didn’t flip when dividing by negative
Negatives you have to flip because they work oppositely
a < b => -b < -a => -a > -b
Yea because greater coefficient of a negative number is less than smaller coefficient
correct
and when multiplying by something that is sometimes positive sometimes negative it gets complicated
just
