not given plane CZ, but if you want the line perp. to a plane, the direction vector has to be perp. to the plane, hence is the normal vector of the plane

Based off what you typed it is incomplete, since there is nothing about plane CZ, other than it's called CZ
no equation nor details.
and the plane XZ is first mentioned in that question?

And I never was questioning if you knew it or not. I was just saying that since my teacher makes the homework questions he sometimes makes mistakes.

Another question I have
What is the difference between the scalar equation and Cartesian equation.
Scalar is ax + by +cz =0
Cartesian is ax+by + cz + d = 0
Is this the difference?
those are the same thing, the 1st one is just d=0..
