I do know to how to solve these problems, for me it's just the reason why it's like this and stuffs.
Like for example,
4x=3x+23
4x-3x=3x+23-3x
I know that 4x-3x would result in X
But my teacher said 3x and -3x (right said) would cancel each other, what's the reason why they need to be canceled and what rule is this?

They need to be canceled to put variables on one sides and numbers on the other
There is not a general rule for this
It is just that 3 * something - 3 * something = 0
Or any numbers with the same coefficient and variable
