what are you asked to do?
evaluate the lim
it's the definition of derivative
I've actually posted a question related to that in #1110062853983064096
that may help you
oh that actually makes sense thanks so much

quick question if you don't mind, how do you evaluate $\sqrt{4-4sin^2x}$ to $2cos x$?
ToastyMicrowave
pull out the 4 out of the square root, becomes:
2sqrt(1-sin²x)
then use the identity:
sin²x+cos²x = 1
cos²x = 1-sin²x
cos x = ±sqrt(1-sin²x)
hence becomes:
2cos x
