the conjugate of a+b is a-b
so it means something like:
(x-(1+i))(x-(1-i))
= x²-(1-i)x-(1+i)x+(1+i)(1-i)
= x²-((1-i)+(1+i))x+(1-i²)
= x²-2x+(1-(-1))
= x²-2x+2
thankyou so much swindle

a polynomial having a real quadratic factor with complex conjugate roots.
