#what's the equation?
10 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I assume the star is the pink dot
a = (70+280)/2 = 175
c = 175 - 70 = 105
b = sqrt(a²-c²) = sqrt(175²-105²) = ...
Equation of ellipse centered at origin:
(x²/a²)+(y²/b²) = 1
that's the picture in case you are confused
Oh ok thanks man
urwelcome
@waxen dune so I just substitute a and b? So (x^2/175^2)+(y^2/b^2)
yes
What's b though?
Is it 140?
