If it helps you, see the black dot in the diagram with a "A" above it? That's the coordinate of A, the way you describe a coordinate is with two numbers, the first number tells you how far in the x direction you are and the second number tells you how far in the y direction you are.
To find the coordinate of A, put your finger at the origin (that x spot), and move to the right until you are right underneath point A, that number your finger is pointing at is the x coordinate. Then move your finger up and count how many squares you move up, that number represents the y coordinate. Put those two coordinates together like (x, y) and you have point A.
