Just set each equation to zero and solve for x
For 1, it’s just .2x + 3 = 0
For 2 & 6, quadratic formula
For 3, square both sides first
For 4) if a/b = 0, then both a = 0 and b ≠ 0
For 5, you can turn it into x(x^2-4) = 0, and if ab=0, then a=0 and/or b=0
