5a) i'm assuming u1 = 0.5, u2 = 5
d = u2 - u1 = 5 - 0.5 = 4.5
u10 = u1 + 9d = 0.5 + 9 × 4.5 = 0.5 + 40.5 = 41
5b) u5 = 5, u10 = -18
5d = u10 - u5 = -18 - 2 = -20
d = -4
u52 = u10 + 42d = -18 + 42 × (-4) = -18 - 168 = -186
- S = (a1 + an)/2 × n
a) S = (1 + 15)/2 × 15 = 8 × 15 = 120
b) S = (1 + 7)/2 × 7 = 4 × 7 = 28
c) S = (8 + 15)/2 × 8 = 23 × 4 = 92
d) S = (7 + 50)/2 × 44 = 57 × 22 = 1254
If a, b and c are first 3 terms of an arithmetical progression then
a + c = 2b
a + b + c = 54
b + 2b = 54
3b = 54
b = 18
Now we need to find such a and c so that they give 54 - 18 = 36 in sum and abc = 5670
After trying some numbers we'll find that
a = 15, b = 18, c = 21 works perfectly
15 + 18 + 21 = 54
15 × 18 × 21 = 5670
r is the same d i'm assuming
d is the r
Okkk thankssss you very very
