How do you do the indefinite integral of cos^4(x)dx via substition?
I can do it but not via substitution
cos⁴x
= (cos²x)²
= ((1/2)(1 + cos 2x))²
= (1/4)(1 + cos 2x)²
= (1/4)(1 + 2 cos 2x + cos²2x)
= (1/4)(1 + 2 cos 2x + (1/2)(1 + cos 4x))

yea this is the only solution i can find online
unfortunately it needs to be via substitution but thanks anyways
