so you can think of continuous as basically can you draw that part of the function without picking up your pencil
so for example, [1,2] includes all the points from 1 to 2 inclusive, and you can hit all of those without picking up your pencil EXCEPT for 2, which you need to move up to draw. hence it's not continuous
and when it acts "is it continuous from the right at x" it basically means is it continuous from (x, x+0.0000001) and similar for left
generally I don't like giving people answers to problems but I hope this clears some stuff up, lmk if you want any further elaboration
