well, let's start with a. and go in one direction first, int_a^inf = int_a^b+int_b^inf, now as int_a^inf and int_a^b both converge, that means int_b^inf must also converge, also int_-inf^b=int_-inf^a+int_a^b, now as both int_-inf^a and int_a^b converge, int_-inf^b should also converge, similarly you can go in the opposite direction as well, and for b. it's simple (I think this is right, I haven't been formal about anything so idk)
