#Been arguing about this after the exam w friends
36 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
weve done it 2 different ways
i did
6(2a+2)-4(3a-1) at the top
and solved
but they did something else
That's fine, there's prolly other valid methods as well
First of all, u gotta combine ur denominator
Which u did later
And then, r u sure u got 12-4 right?
Here in the second last step 12a+12-12a-4 = 8 not 16
No bro he has done it correct
U r the one messing up
It is 12a+12-(12a-4)
@tulip rock it is correct
my friends got -22/ something
$\text{Following cross multiplication:}
\frac{6(2a + 2) - 4(3a - 1)}{(3a-1)(2a+2)}
\vspace{1ex}
\implies\frac{12a + 12 - 12a + 4}{6a^2 + 6a - 2a - 2}
\implies\frac{16}{6a^2 + 4a - 2}$
