so for the first one, the first step would be to transform $2\frac{3}{5}$ into an improper fraction. do you know how to do that?

1. i) 2 3/5 = (5 × 2 + 3)/5 = 13/5
   13/5 ÷ 1/8 = 13/5 × 8/1 = 104/5
   ii) 1/3 × 9/8 = 1/1 × 3/8 = 3/8

2. 2 3/4 - 2 1/3
   = 3/4 - 1/3
   = 9/12 - 4/12
   = 5/12
