Oh, forgot to tell you. Your level is not 80 so Agi 50 is fine. INT and VIT should be 30.

well, I did it I finished the first Sagacia patrol trail

I'm kind of disappointed at myself for not being able to clear it with a heavy weapon, and even then I still can't grasp how daggers work.

I'm too used to rushing and smashing with a hammer

I would not say so. As long as you have some crit rate, it's at least okay trait, with crit rate sets making it incredibly strong.

So how much AGI do I really need?

My recommendation actually would be next things.

1. Equip cursed silver amulet, i believe was the name?(Decent amount of physical defence, with minor penalty to magic damage, except in your case(Even if you have -9999 magic defence, it acts as 0 magic defence). You have no reason to no equip it. Even with some magic defence, it's worth it.

2. You are sorely lacking in INT, which is what for the most part determines whether you clear patrol or not. I'd focus on getting at least 40 INT. Even 50 INT is not overkill. However, i'd still leave VIT at least 30, because of some enemies nuking the life out of you. Unless, you haven't maxed your potion, in which case max your red potion. You can ignore green potion, because trying to time the effect will generally make you lose too much healing as a result, and red potion effect is more beneficial for survival.

3. Since you have pretty much 0 sources outside of your agi in terms of crit rate, i'd actually consider hidden slash or dancing feet instead. Hidden slash can help with defeating certain dangerous enemies fast enough so that they don't deal heavy damage, dancing feet for churrels for the most part.

4. Unless you are dead set on weapons, i'd say you can instead choose to go for ambush SnS/Hammer. With SnS probably being the easiest option+it has magic defence, which would be very needed.

Finish Gleam Grotto(1st dungeon in eventide cove). It should be pretty easy, since it can be beaten as early as late Caldemount/Early Violetfair.

That depends on your stat spread in general.

But in general, it's between AGI=STR-20 and AGI=STR. Depending on your preferences.
