#Game crashes every time I try to load a game (v1.2-1241)

Playing on steam deck. The game starts up just fine. I can navigate menus. When I try to load a save or start a new game, the loading icon gets to 3% and then the game crashes.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled, verified game files, tried multiple different versions of Proton, etc.

Am I just stuck unable to play this game?

Could you share your save and crash log file with us?

To find the file directly on Steam Deck, kindly follow these steps:

  • Open Steam Deck Desktop Mode
  • Go to: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/
  • Inside this folder, you’ll see multiple folders with random numbers. Look for the Coral Island folder, which has the code 1158160
  • Open that folder and go to:
    pfx → drive_c → Users<your username>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

And for the Crash log, it is inside the Saved folder. If there is any trouble finding it, kindly let us know!
