Hi @slate mountain , thank you for reaching out to us! Could you provide more details on what you were doing before the crash occurred? If you are able to replicate the issue, could you record a video and send it here so we can take a closer look?

Also, could you also send your Backup Files and Crash Log here? Thanks so much for your cooperation approve2

Where are my backup files and crash log? I was just putting my tools away in the chest so I could go diving!

Your backup files are located in the same folder as your Save File, just inside the backup folder! To make it easier for you, you can compress the entire Backup folder into a ZIP file before sending it here.

As for your Crash Log, you can retrieve it by copy-pasting this file path into your Windows Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\Crashes then filter the date to the recent one, and send the .xml file here goatlove2

I'm sorry. I only seem to have one from April last year. :S

#

But there's the backup files.

Thanks for sending in some additional information! Also since you mentioned that the issue happened at 9 AM, do you happen to remember what you were doing between 6-9 AM? Were you farming or tending to your animals?

#

Any detail you remember can really help us investigate the issue!

Yes, first I handle the crops, then I go see to my barn and coop animals, petting and letting them out and collecting the eggs and milk and wool (if the sheep has any), then I see to all the different machines, and then load them up again. Then I either head to the caves, go foraging and socialise, or go diving. I'm still early in the game (this happened during Autumn year one). This day I decided to go diving and put my tools that I don't use (everything except scythe and net) in my chest so I have a bit of additional inventory space. This crash happened as I was trying to put my tools in the chest. I had put my hoe and watering can and then I crashed.

If the issue happens again, would you be able to send us a screenshot showing which chest you usually place your tools in? It would also be really helpful if you could record a video of the issue if it happens again. To make things a bit easier, you might consider using Steam’s recording feature for quick and easy access to your gameplay.

Kindly follow the steps below to activate it:

  • Click the Steam icon (top left corner) > Settings > Game Recording.
  • Choose your recording mode: "Record Manually" or "Record in Background" (recommended: Length: 60+ minutes, Quality: Medium, Frame Rate: 30)
  • Launch Coral Island and play as usual!
  • If using “Record in Background,” recording starts immediately as the game launches.
  • If using "Record Manually", use the shortcut keys to start or stop the recording.
  • To view your recording: Click View > Recording & Screenshots.
  • Right-click the video > Share > Export video file.
  • The video is saved in your preferred folder and you can post it on your report post.
