Doing the wind cave

I have gotten to 39 but it's not letting me go to 35. It's stuck on 30 everytime i go back in.

Just to confirm, are you referring to the Wind Cave in the Cavern area?

If so, the elevator access is actually on floor 30, as there isn't an elevator on floor 35. You'll need to head to floor 30 and then mine your way down until you reach floor 40 to unlock the next elevator point.

Could you give that a try and let us know if you're able to reach level 40? 😮

by the time I reach 39 i've been up too long and then got to start from 30 all overagain

Ahh, I see. When you mentioned you've been up too long, were you mining during midnight in-game?
Or did your character's Stamina or Health run out around that time?

I start early searching for the holes which takes until midnight and I can't get to the next hole in time. But I see there isn't an elevator I just got to find it faster that's all thanks for the clarification.

Maybe it'll help if you change the game speed. Then the days are longer and you can get more stuff done. You can change the game speed in the settings.
You could also try using ropes. You can either buy them at the BOS headquarter or craft them yourself
