Game stuck on inventory menu when trying to move a newly collected item

• Title Game freezes on item menu when moving something i just collected
• Reproduction Steps If i mine, or fish , or catch a bug and i open the menu straight after and try to move the item elsewhere on the menu or try to delete it
• Repro Rate Seems to happen every time I do that
• Game Platform PC

I see 😲 Do you happen to have a longer video that shows you catching the sea critter? It would really help us understand how the issue gets triggered.

And just to confirm, were you able to use your keyboard (Esc) to quit the inventory menu when the issue happened? Thank you!

very hard to try catch the moment before but i will do my best. will try to replicate. and no when i pressed esc nothing happen, i couldn't do anything!

Upon confirming with the team, this issue has actually been reported by others as well and our teams are currently working to investigate it. In the meantime, a temporary workaround is to avoid pressing the button too quickly when catching a creature/item, this should help resolve the issue for now

I had a freezing issue that wasn't in the inventory menu, but I believe was caused by pressing buttons too fast issue. I was running around and i accidentally split stacks on a pile of eggs i was holding, and then before i did anything else clicked on a mason jar (putting one of the eggs in it, but not the split one) and i was no longer able to click on anything else. I don't know if it's the same bug, but it seems similar.

Is it actually supposed to be possible to split stacks in the main game world while running around, when you aren't in the inventory? I have the option pop up sometimes when I'm dashing and holding something, but I have no idea what keyboard combo causes it. I was able to reproduce it once, but it was while running around and I don't seem to be able to do this while trying. @keen sphinx

We have received similar reports regarding this issue and we are currently working on a fix for it! Hopefully the split selection issue can be resolved promptly 😄
