#Aging barrels in cellar running at half speed

Every item I place in an aging barrel in my cellar seems to take twice as long to finish as the same item in a barrel in my shed.

  • Reproduction Steps
Place an aging barrel in the cellar and add a single osmium cactus honey to it. Then do the same in a shed. Measure the time until each barrel finishes processing. The barrel in my shed is producing a cactus mead in 3 days, while barrel in my cellar takes 6 days to finish.

  • Repro Rate
It seems consistent. Melon wine takes 4 days in my shed, 8 days in the cellar. Upgrading mead from gold to osmium quality takes 1.5 days in the shed, 3 days in the cellar.

Hi @molten void , does it happen with any products placed in the cellar? Or do you notice it only happening to honey/wine?

Thank you 😄

It seems to be everything in the barrel. I tried cactus mead, melon wine, large gesha coffee, goat cheese wheel, and quail egg. Fermented both osmium and gold versions of those, and also used the barrels to improve the gold versions to osmium. Everything took twice as long in the cellar as the shed. But beehive and keg ran same time for in both places

Hey, I've been dealing with this same issue as well! I can't recall how many in game days exactly it's been, but I've have barely gotten any kimchi/wine/aged cheese since I've moved the aging barrels to the cellar (as compared to when they were in the shed). Hoping this can get a fix soon!
