The "One of Us" quest appearing after in-game years of being a Merfolk

Reproduction Steps: Not sure. The quest appeared on Summer Mon 15 Year 5, while i already unlocked a farm and completed the Resupply Merfolk Kingdom quest.

Don't really know what to make of this, I'm just going to ignore it for now unless other problems occur!

I have the same issue - I am in Year 4, Summer 11 and already a member of merfolk. I competed an errand-request (7 pink roal caps for olan) and received the quest "one of us" again. If you need further information, just contact me! 😄

I am in year 3 fall 11 when i re-received the quest, i don't remember when i completed it. i don't remember anything triggering it either 😅

I had this too! I re-received this quest on Summer 11 Year 3, and it appeared the day after I got married, so maybe that was a trigger? I went to Cho Oyu to see if it would mark as completed or disappear, but in the cutscene I froze in place fully T-Posed, and my tail was still fully visible.

All of a sudden i had the quest again, even tho i was already working on my underwater farm.
I don't know when it reappeared, but somewhere during my last play session. So probably somewhere really early on in spring year 2.

Same, triggered year 3 summer 21, shortly after marrying semeru. Playing on Steam on an Asus Rog Ally, had completed the merfolk quests early on. In addition, my character is t-posing throughout the scene, as I obviously already have a tail 😅

I got it back on spring 16 or 17 year 2. I discovered it on the 17th. However, I updated the game before todays session and it wasn't in my quest log on the 15th. I started playing after updating the game today on the 14th of spring. So it did not happen immediately after updating the game. Also I have three completed quests that have not title in them. One of them must be one of us, since I cannot find it in the completed quests. Something tells me I'm going to get two more repeated quests any day now.

Same issue here, got the quest to visit the oracle and A-framed into the cutscene as a mermaid where she asked if I'd like to be a mermaid.

Same. I used some saves that allows me to play from Year 3 Spring 15 and 16 without it appearing. It only appears at the morning of Spring 17.

Just to clarify, do you remember when you got the quest again? After loading your save file with the newest update, did the quest appear right away, or did you complete something that could have triggered it to reappear? 😮

Affter patching I loaded in and played the first day normally the following morning Affter when the cash and rep stuff popped up was when mine triggered.
As to what could have triggered it hmm, I had a barn qued up for underwater aside from that I’m not sure. It’s been a few days since I was there in progression and I’ve been doing a lot of friendship building wile I wait for the last museum and attraction stuff to go thru.

As i mentioned before, i played Y3 Spring 15 and 16 without the notification appearing.

As soon as the day started for Y3 Spring 17 (if playing straight from the previous day), i got the One of Us quest notification. However if i load it, i don't get the notification but it is in my questlist.

Throwing my hat into the ring on this, I've had this happen as well since playing after the new update, I avoided going to Oyuu the whole time to not trigger the cutscene while waiting for a bug fix out of fear of soft locking/breaking my game after seeing the problems other people had. But seeing as how I need to visit the oracle to upgrade my undersea farm gear I realize, I'm kinda soft locked anyway 😛

Also chipping in here too. Playing in version 1.1b-1233, noticed it on Fall 20 of year 2, not sure when I originally completed it and no idea when it refreshed or what triggered it. I've been saving crops so I can unlock the last thing in the underwater lab so I've not visited it for a while.

The only thing I can think of that I've done differently since I last visited the lab was try to build an underwater barn. Went to the ranch and selected the underwater barn but didn't realise how wide it was, backed out and then spent the next couple of days waiting for the crops in the area I wanted to build it to grow so I could clear the ground. Visited the lab after I'd made the space.

same problem - year 2, summer idk. maybe day 5 or 6? the new update that's awarding random things is the only thing that happened that could have triggered it specifically (i got to choose between coins or 2 aging barrels). i've finished all of the underwater quests other than the expedition ones - including the farm quests, so, nothing with those could have triggered it.

Loaded up my game and got it too. I'm on fall third year one rank C. As far as I know nothing would have triggered it. It also wasn't there when I played last week. I haven't completed any of the underwater farm quests which is different from almost everyone else

I kept playing after the incident and haven't had any issues. i also completed the quest again... so... I don't know if that will mess with your progress. You did share a backup so there's that.

Reproduction Steps: I usually have Steam on offline mode and after going online and updating the game, I played for a few in-game days, I received this quest again after I ended the day and got a cutscene of an impact (satellite). I did not receive a 2nd mail saying I should visit her. It just gave me the quest at once upon waking up

I paid her a visit again and was able to see that I got the cutscene again while T-posing with my tail

I also included a screenshot from my Quest tab and you can see I already am in progress of the quests that are only available if I already done this quest before

I tried redoing it again since the requirements are already available back in my farm and it seems the cutscene goes back to me wearing my diving suit when I try to turn them in

Not sure if it is game breaking but I'm worried that I might get a similar experience with the other Merfolk quests

Update: I completed the quest again to gain access to the underwater carpenter. This reset my lumina wand upgrades from enchanted Osmium to basic. I can't rebuy the upgrades, because the game says it's already bought. Will reset day. Let me know what's the best course of action here. It seems like I'll have to choose between no underwater animals or no upgraded lumina wand.

Yes, completing the quest a second time meant that my lumina wand reset to 'basic', while I completed all of the upgrades to 'Osmium' and enchanted it, and thus can't re-upgrade it.
