I finished the quest. All the items on the list are crossed out. But it doesn't complete, I can't take the reward and it continues to show as active

Reproduction Steps: I started a new file last night (before the update, I'm PST timezone) and when I completed the last step of harvesting my first crop today, the quest is showing everything crossed out but not actually completing/rewarding.
Repro Rate: It just started, but I completed on day 5 which normally makes it give the reward and move to completed. Moved on to day 6 to see if sleeping would fix it but it's still the same. Other quests have completed since then like reaching floor 5 of the earth museum, but this one is still hanging on.

I have the same issue. Started the quest yesterday before the update and completed it today but can not claim the reward/complete it.
Game Platform: Pc/Steam

I'm also encountering this bug. I started the game before the 19th, and I had played halfway through day 5 prior to the update (and the quest completed normally then) but had to log off before finishing the day. And now, anytime I've tried to play since, I haven't been able to get the Starting Out quest to finish - I tried harvesting with hands, harvesting with scythe, skipping Mark's cutscene, not skipping it, checking the shipping bin before harvesting, checking it after - no dice. I'd love to keep playing but I don't want to finish the day while it's bugged, and there's only so many times to replay day 5 without it feeling repetitive 😅

The major update where the game was finished? I had to think about it. But, I know it was after because I wanted to start over since it had all the things. I didn't have this issue on my other games. They did the completed the quest. I'm on computer with xbox app. I used to play like all the time and then I had to stop and do studying for a big exam. Now I'm back playing. LOL.. It is just a pleasant game. Before the harvest completed, I was meeting people and had finished that quest right before and right after I started the flower bouquet quest. It has counted 12 seeds planted of 10. The rest of the things stopped at the required frequncy.

I didn't complete the Starting Out mission in order (seeds, water, sam general store, other things while I wait for first harvest) once all tasks were done it hasn't given me the option to complete it and get my reward.

Hasn't improved any time I jump back into game.

I also have this problem, as the the 2nd player in a co-op game hosted by someone else. The quest is completed for them, and it seems to relate to saving and loading, where crossed out items "uncross" on load, and the counter can then continue incrementing:

  • Did you plant the seeds first thing in the morning, or did you do other activities before planting them?
  • Roughly how many seeds did you receive for the quest?
  • After planting them, did you notice the “Plant seed” objective get checked off right away in the quest log, or did it stay incomplete?
