Hey there, not sure if this qualifies as a bug but my game updates automatically, so when i opened steam to find it in my library the game had updated and patched. However my main save was gone. I restarted the game, verified game files all to no avail. Now i had noticed that the size of the game was different from the usual (11.34GB as opposed to the usual 25GB after playing the game since 1.0) and it was downloaded in a different location from the original game. This struck me as odd, as my games are on a specific drive. I had not moved the game to a new drive. I then tried to uninstall and reinstall. Upon uninstalling I could see that the game version was now the beta instead of the main, which didn't make sense to me. So when I tried to reinstall it's telling me that the beta is the one that needs reinstalling. i don't understand this as the main game file is in a different drive. Not sure what to do, any tips?

I can see my old save files. but if i download them they don't show in the game. The beta file is the only thing that comes up, which is puzzling because it shouldn't be showing up at all in the main game....

I noticed the last time you played the main branch before joining the beta branch was on Feb 25. Can you try downloading this save file, copy and paste it into your save file folder (follow this file path → C:\Users\ <username>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames), then rename it to “DailySave_0.sav”. Then open the game to see if that is your missing save file? 😮

Sure! The last time i played the main branch was the date of the save file.... Feb 25.
I didn't play the beta for a while though. My steam settings are set to auto update my games, so when i decided to play on the release date of 1.1 it automatically updated the game and kicked me out of the beta

Hey @past mulch we finally found your save file! Unfortunately, your save file is from Early Access so it's not compatible with the current main branch and you weren't able to open it now. We did announce back in September that we were doing a save reset called "New Game Plus" where you can keep all of your money but your file is being reset.

Here's your Early Access file (you can look it up in the SaveGames folder that you sent to me 😉), you can rename the file into "DailySave_1.sav" then it will be visible in your game 🙂

Yes i remember the early access new game plus thing. I actually did make it into a new game plus save. I guess i just lost it. Thanks for figuring it out for me! Super excited to continue with the gold i have already made.. it’s definitely gonna make things easier for sure 🙂
