They're literally working all hours to smash as many bugs as they can. They still have time.

It isn't the 31st. They just put out a massive bug fix again today. We are seeing almost daily patches

These devs are working their butts off!!!! Have you not noticed they are updating the beta multiple times some days? Not all devs live in the same time zone. Like omg this is an early access game the fact that there is ANYTHING to play is epic.
Please stop being ungrateful especially when you even said "rumored to be this month".

They've actually been updating it almost every single day with a lot of patches, sometimes at extremely late hours (3-4 am their time.) So they are fixing a lot of bugs, and tbh, all betas always have a lot of bugs, this is pretty normal. It's just that the update is huge.

Do you realize the amount of content involved in this update? Slice of life cutscenes, pufferfish cutscenes, dynamic dialogue, town rank dialogue, heart events, festival mini games, pets, more combat, merfolk kingdom and all its cutscenes and shops and events, new fruit trees, new mechanics for item drops and the list goes on. It is an enormous update. It will take time to fix the bugs and they’ve been providing hotfixes and rebalancing constantly.

You don’t need to check discord to know there’s updates to beta, but also why not be informed first before deciding to make this post? I think that’s what others are taking issue with.

You also need to realize the amount of content in this release means there will be all sorts of new bugs and crashes, they are doing what they can to deal with anything critical. Pushing them on releasing asap and also demanding it be bug free is unrealistic

I mean tbh with you - yes, there are a lot of bugs, you aren't wrong. But there's time. They said August, but for peace of mind I'd assume August 31st. Yeah, I know everyone's dying for it to go live, we all are.

You're also not going to get a perfect bug-free release. The releases have always been a tad bumpy even when everything's cleared - but you'll get a playable game and the bugs will not absolutely destroy your file or your playthrough.

No game is completely bug free and on EA it’s unreasonable to expect none at all, the game isn’t done and constantly in flux.

I’m not trying to attack the devs, or come of as rude or impatient, yes I am really excited about this update ..yes I haven’t been on discord much because of life and didn’t think I had to check discord daily because as far as I knew there was no updates going on , just bugs being reported . But why add more content when there is already a lot of bugs to fix?

Ah, if you want to keep track, you can just check the changelist and not bother with the rest of the channels. It'll probably update once a day. As for the other, I'm not a dev, so I can't answer that. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we all get what we want though

So there really is no date as of yet for this update? I was playing the beta branch testing it was very glitchy that’s also why I worry it won’t be out on time

Sometimes they add content to beta and it doesn’t make it to main release, so that’s another thing to consider

They never give us a date, just a general month. It just releases when it releases.

I’m not even used to not having a date for game release, other games I’ve played had dates they went by for release: so I can say yes I am a little impatient, but I am sure most people are because excited about this update as it’s huge

It’s not that uncommon for EA to not have a set date, which makes sense you don’t want to promise something and then walk it back. Full release is another story, but who knows how 1.0 will be handled

They've never given dates of yet, just months. And generally, it's probably safer to assume the end of the month because they'll be using every last second before release

It's not a full release either, as meow said - it's an update, hence it's a little shakier on the timeline. Early Access release, in contrast, had a specific date and timezone even
