I guess for quality products still RNG, it’s totally random for me, but at least that you can do is maximize the quality of the hay and maybe sometimes let them out to eat hay from the grass (idk why but i feel like once i often let my livestocks outside, they give better quality but need to consider the weather, make sure it’s good weather). Cmiiw. That’s all I know, maybe anyone here have other tips for this also.
(+) for now maximum quality still in silver, maybe next update devs increase better quality for hay (and other stuff that can be upgraded for the quality) but idk for sure, need more confirmation

My main file I can frequently get osmium products - animals doing so have max hearts, I let them outside every day the weather allows it, & I have to silver hay/feed upgrade from the Lab
You can also choose the ‘quality product’ perk from the ranching skill tree bc when it procs it’ll boost the quality of item you get (turns gold to osmium etc)
V0.4 doesn’t have the next level of lab upgrades (I’m anticipating gold lab upgrades with v0.5 bc iirc that merfolk update is adding the gold kelp zone of ocean)
