#Has anyone caught a Giant Sea Bass yet?

you don't need a giant sea bass for the temple? but you can look on https://coralisland.fandom.com/wiki/Coral_Island_Wiki there you find every fish you can catch and when/where
Giant sea bass - Legendary
'Large'
Sunny, Rain, Windy, Storm (any weather)
From Fall 1 to Fall 7
Morning, Night
Ocean Forest
I got it just at the waters left of my farm
Helpful to eat some fishing boosting food (fish taco, smoked salmon, fish soup) too bc its a legendary
rare altar fish is changed in Beta, its needed now/there
ah okay, make sense!
Thank you Bee, I was trying to catch it over by the cavern and wasn't getting anything
in case you haven't seen it, here's a map I labelled for the fishing spots too
Just a heads up: like most legendary and large fish, it will yank the line and try to swim away, so the first few seconds will be you trying to stop it from swimming off. Jiggle the line and it should start to pull back to starting area. Then you can reel it in. It’s not that bad compared to the green sawfish or giant stingray, so if you caught those you should be good. Good luck!
I tried the giant stingray and it snapped my line immediately, I couldn’t do anything. Like I was clicking the mouse really fast, then the bar just shot all the way and snapped. What do you mean by jiggle the line?
Fast clicks and pauses, you have to time it right to the pattern of their movements. It might take a few tries to get it right. The nice thing about the stingray is once it starts to reel in it begins to give up and gets easy after the first 1/3.
I have tried and tried but not succeeded. I hope someone records it with voice so I can study their technique.
Im planning on recording my legendary / rare fish catches! (didn’t think to record when I was first attempting them all on my main file)No clue when I’ll be doing that exactly but it’s on my to do list
If you could include voice, and chat about what you're doing. That way we'll know when you are clicking, what triggers you to stop and all that. That would be great. I'm looking forward to watching them.
It is difficult to describe, so hopefully with video it will be easier to pinpoint. Their movement pattern helps you id the fish, but also let’s you know what to expect while reeling them in.
I have trouble with their patterns but if I had time to figure it out, I might. But in case of some legendries (I caught 2 sharks and monkfish) like the giant stingray I had no time to identify because the line immediately snapped. I got maybe 2-4 fast clicks in then bam. I hope to get a tutorial video from you experts 🙂
I found this video for all fish, there is no voice in it but looking at the giant stingray for example, I see the line go all the way red and they manage to stabilize it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0OXDpfvoxY
Hello Everybody,
In this video i will show you how to catch every fish in the game CORAL ISLAND
CORAL ISLAND
Coral Island is a vibrant and laid-back reimagining of farm sim games. Be who you want and experience enchanting island living at your own pace—live off the land, nurture animals, build relationships with a diverse cast of townsfolk, and...
Sting ray is tricky, it took me 3 or 4 tries to time it correctly. Green sawfish is tougher closer to the end, and is more consistent. Both take several in game hours to reel in on average, so time your day accordingly. Night legendaries are the worst because of the time issue. I’ve had to let a couple go and try another time since it was almost 1am 😢
WEirdly I just looked at my fish collected and I did catch the green sawfish, I dont remember it lol.
I find the most memorable are ones you’re currently struggling with or took a while to catch. Green sawfish still hold the record for biggest catch. I was hoping to get bronze or better legendary so tried to catch them several times. Can’t wait for red arowana to be available, should be fun!
Is the red arowana not in the game or you just need to get to the season?
There’s a bug when trying to fish in mines, so can’t catch it yet. Haven’t tried in beta.
