#60GB of crash dump files?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I just did a test. I played 1 day in-game and closed the game (no crashes). Upon checking the folder a new 8.8GB files was created
Why are mine so large compared to yours?
This sounds like something you might want to forward to the devs for support? Mine are also similar to CatLady's.
I wish I could give you some insight, but I really have no clue. Like glacialphoenix said, send it to the devs, because its not supposed to be that massive for sure.
Hey @sage sleet Can you try delete the file?
Can you please tell us if it still happening after you delete it
I deleted them all (the first 7 I mentioned) and then after playing again a new one appeared (the 8.8gb). It is still happening
I had to delete them as it was causing my C drive to be almost full. Especially the original 60gb files
I played again today and same thing
I verified the game files and 792 were validated. Maybe this was the issue?
After you validate your files did the problem still there?
I will have to let you know later today as I needed to sleep (as work) after validating
Mine not that terrible
75MB/file and I have 8 files so far
But these generating even the game not crash?
The last one of mine is today 3:35AM and the game not crashed I quit on the normal way, not used alt+f4 or something 🤔
Yes still happening. 9.16GB for 1 day of game play. Game didn't crash
Hi @sage sleet , any chance you can send us the crash dump? I'd recommend using google drive / dropbox because the file is so huge. Also, can you confirm it still happens even when starting a new game?
Please email the dump file link to support@stairwaygames.com if possible
No problem I will send over the latest crash dump to this email via Google Drive
Also yes, I did a test with a new game save and the same issue happened
12964 was the new game save
20180 is my main save (and them file I'm sending)
Thank you, we'll get on this monday
No problem, and thanks. If there is anything else you need from me let me know
@jade lichen I noticed that a crash dump is created after exiting a save, not the game.
For example I started my test save accidentally, so I went back to the main menu after it loaded to select my main save. After I played and checked the folder I had a 9gb file (main save) and a 2gb file (test save I started accidentally)
Maybe this info help with something
