why cant i get wakuu up to more than 3 hearts?

hi guyss ive been giving gifting wakuu gifts and stuff he loves, but it seems like his heart cant go up to more than 3. is this a bug or its still in development? thanks!

@empty depot Technically the official heart cap is three hearts for all characters! Some players have been able to get some of the characters to as many as eight, but it's not clear if this is a bug or not

ahh i see, based on ur answer then theyre technically still currently developing it then. bcs some characters like mark can have their hearts >3 so thats why i was a little confused

Yeah, they're still developing them. The heart cap will gradually increase throughout development with each update, culminating in 10 hearts in the Marriage & Children update (which will be just before 1.0).

I heard the cap is at 5, and everyone I have caps out at five, but Nina and Wakuu can go higher. Though I know others have been struggling with hearts as well.

I have four or five characters at that point now too. I've only ever heard people say 5 headts is the limit, even from the start of early access.
