Hello! I've been reading @rose ice coming out story too and I want to give my 2 cents if that's alright

I think relationship is a two way thing. He might be taking your coming out badly now but i don't think that makes him a bad person. Life is a journey. You learn something new everyday. As long he's learning more about enby and poly (basically learning about you) , that's fine! It might be a slow step and i dont know his background and such but sadly the things about gender and poly is not that well accepted in society yet

Since the mindset already ingrained in the society so much, it's going to be harder for people to accept it. More so if they never encountered something like that before.

And you said he had trauma with open relationship right? I think he took your coming out about poly as in you might want to have poly with him in the future. Yes you did say you are 100% happy having mono with him but I think his trauma is making him seeing in tunnel vision, certain "what if" scenario rushing in his head after you said poly

He might be in bad state of mind right now but you can talk to him later after things calming down a little

You're still learning about yourself anyway so i think it might be a good chance for you both to learn together. Slowly of course since he seems kinda twitchy yeah

personally I'd like to see the demigender flags there (so demiboy and demigirl) and one of the various mlm flags that have been come up with, probably the one that sorta mirrors the lesbian flag but in blue and green (i like having one of those so the rainbow can just be for the community instead of also the only flag that represents men who are into men) But i think you do have the majority of the major flags

And yeah mlm is men loving men (wlw is the same with women), which is a useful term cause its a more general descriptor and something that you can apply onto someone you arent sure the orientation of, but you know of one relationship theyre in (real useful for talking about fictional characters especially)

basically you can say "oh look its a dude who at least sometimes dates dudes" without ascribing an orientation to them, since someone who is mlm could be gay, bi, pan, several flavors of ace, etc

its also able to be used as a specific orientation but like, the term is especially useful for not erasing other identities. Im tired and not explaining well. Also there is no specific word for just male/male attraction the way there is for lesbians so it sorta fills that niche?
