So Iāve only been to my faire, but we have a bunch of food stalls, and a bunch of stalls for selling handmade things. My direct boss sells dice bags and handmade games and stuff.
A few stalls sell garb, thereās pottery and paintings and all cool stuff
And then there are games, like my pillow fight, or axe throwing or ladder climb
Rides, like the camel ride, a wooden carousel, a man-powered spinning ride, and 3 different swings (dragon, pirate ship, barrel)
The maze! Which is an awesome thing all on its own
Then stages with shows from jugglers to sword fighters to comedy and improv. A jousting field

Had a DM plan an entire fight with a fiend, the entirety of our party had darkvission anyways, so our DM decided to go "well, it's magical darkness in this cave you entered" and my Warlock just stood there with his glowing short sword "well what a lovely place we've got here, purple tapestries, oh, and those throw pillows are LOVELY, now come out and fight!"

The accursed spector on a hexblade doesn't make much sense but honestly that's the only bad part about a hexblade. The Hexblade curses and the hex armor are amazing.
Can't tell you how many times I've fought a boss and they are about to deal massive damage on me with a crit and I'm like one second lemme roll my d6....4 alright the curse takes effect and the bad guys body seizes up for a moment allowing me to dodge the critical hit.
Plus my hexblade paladins the only character I've ever played where I got to roll 3d8+32+12d8+12d8+10d8 in a single round against a baddie.
They're the most versatile of the warlocks in my opinion.
Can't really say I like devil's sight all that much though. I started realizing that it kind of started making a lot of devil's sight warlocks want to cast darkness so they get advantage
But suddenly the rest of the party has disadvantage because they can't see.
Plus if you're the only one who can actually see in magical darkness, whatever party of drow or fiends you're fighting are going to realize pretty fast and are going to focus on the devil's sight player.
One invocation I can say has been amazingly useful is eyes of the rune keeper. Doesn't matter what language it is or if it's gibberish or runes, as long as it's in a language and you're looking at it then you understand it.
Been quite a few times where the GMs like "it's in a language none of you are proficient in" and my warlocks like lemme looks at it....yep I know what it is.

My warlock definitely can not stand toe to toe with a raging barbarian in a back and forth slam fest, so I had my warlock back away from him a bit as he was a mage slayer, blocked the damage from an aoe with his shield master feat and then proceeded to cast hold person on the barbarian who failed.
I prayed and had my warlock run up to him and end his turn, the guy failed on his turn and his rage was forced to drop. Then I had my warlock stab him twice which he also failed the saves on which meant they were automatic crits.
My warlock is 12 warlock 2 paladin and he unleashed both smites on the attacks so for that one round he dealt 170 damage that the barbarian couldn't resist because he was no longer raging.
My GM was....livid. that kind of quiet angry and I felt terrible because he was excited for this boss battle and I was like my boys squishy! He can't afford to mess around with the barbarian!

Oh lord. Well I lost the championship match to another party member. BUT my character got the last laugh. My characters bisexual and very charismatic and his characters straight and a very angry male barbarian. My character was getting walloped and right before he got knocked out he charmed the barbarian and then gave him the kiss of death which the barbarian managed to survive. My character was like you may have won the fight but you have lost the war! And then proceeded to pass out. My friend and I were just cackling and now he says the barbarian is having a bit of a crisis because he liked it and now he's super confused.

That sounds really cool. I played a warforged moon druid once that had been in a clearing waiting for it's human friend for years because they worked as partners. The warforged had been heavily injured and there partner hid them in this old stump and said they were going to go find help and come back. Unfortunately they never made it out so my warforged waited and waited for years, trusting it's partner to come back.
Nature had grown over it and it had become more wood than metal and one day a party found them and managed to help him get out of the tree stump and they joined the group after finding out what happened. Because of what happened to it though it became heavily linked to nature and became a druid.
It's wild shapes became mechanical and wooden beasts.
It's fun playing combinations that are traditionally thought of as polar opposites

Apart from setting up a soup kitchen to feed the poor on her free time and gifting dragon plushies to needy kids who have no toys of there own, the party has discovered that she says she has a Lair which happens to be a Portable hole she carries around with her and when they asked her what's inside it she opens up and hopped in it.
When they looked inside they saw approximately 7,000 dragon plushies varying in size from Tony to large of various colors.
They found out the plushies are her Hoard and she gifts it out to people in need because sometimes everyone needs a hug.

There was one time when there was a magick portrait that showed people what/who they loved/missed alive or dead (kinda like hp mirror) and my chara obvs saw her hubby so she whined about wanting to go back to the room and steal the painting XD
She was fun to have mostly because she was secretly evil and trying to swerve them in the dark direction.
Also when the group found her she was a 'captive' of the enemy but it was just a trick to confuse them lol
The craziest thing that happened was probably in my old group because in one or two sessions our gnome player drank an unknown magick potion, rolled a secret critical fail and got sick, everyone else failed to diagnose him so just as we got to his home country he went crazy from the pain, screamed, writhed on the table, pooped out an egg and promptly died 
And then the dm was like "wow, you guys could have saved him so many times" and i was like "i s2g, hes a chaotic stupid."

depends on how you want it incooperated, you could prolly figure out some pronounciation for Gitgud (middle/lastname) so instead of having it as the usual Git Gud you'd form it into a singular word that could either be first, middle or last name

It was a LOTR setting, so we ran by some slightly different rules. Importantly, elves are immortal unless mortally wounded. He got stabbed or really sad for some reason, and essentially fell asleep. Like, not exactly magical sleep, but not exactly natural sleep. He was in a city under siege at the time, but he was left among the ruins, perhaps because they never found him. He wakes up 3,700 years later to find out the war he was a part of is 'over' and a new one's taking place.
I never really got to explore him much, since he was a secondary character to my main one.

so goblins are a very "fend for yourself" society and that extends to they kind of pick their own names. but when a goblin leaves the horde (for whatever reason) they often pick up a name from whatever culture they move to. there's a rumor among other races that goblins take the name of people they've killed, so never tell a goblin your name, or they might kill you to take it. while this may be true for more evil-inclined goblins, it's far from the norm.
so the settlement my goblin moved to was a very elf-human mixed society. he decided he really really likes names that starts with the sound "chris" so every time he hears a new name starting with that he takes it and adds it to his name. (he's up to 5 chris names)
