Currently crafting a stupid instrument... The goblin trumpet! :D I'm fitting a kazoo in a dried vegetable. It's going to be terribly loud and annoying, thus perfectly fitting my annoying goblin costume :D Most of the decoration is still missing, and the closing bit of vegetable to hide the kazoo.

😊 It comes from a game named Nine Parchments, which came out some years ago, and which, as far as I know, didn't have a lot of success. I didn't overly like the gameplay, but the graphic design, and especially the costumes, were great :D

Hi people! I need a bit of advice, if any of you has experience with latex masks... I recently bought a (lovely) goblin latex mask, modeled on the picture by yours truly (makeup missing, of course). I'm encountering a bit of an issue though: it presses way too much on the corner of my eyes and on my upper lip, to the point that five minutes are enough to create a deep dent in my skin, and one hour would probably make it a wound. Very uncomfortable. So, I'm looking for solutions. Any ideas? (So far, I've tried sewing little pads or "cushions" on a piece of fabric, to be worn under the latex mask; but it's less than ideal: the fabric undermask does not stay in place when putting on the latex mask, and the cushions are too thick anyway...

You'd think maybe removing material on the inside would help, or as you've done, adding padding, as you need to spread the pressure

- I've been specifically advised by the seller not too cut it, as the cuts might widen every time I put it on.

Just be really careful if you try it. It works too soften doll heads, but I haven't tried it personally

Since you seem to know about it, I have one more question. The maker of my mask writes that it must not be left for too long in the sun. I asked him how long is "too long", to which he didn't bring an answer. Like, if I wear it for a full day in the sun, is it okay, as long as I spray it with extra latex before and after? Or is it too long already? I'm going to an event where I'll be mostly outside...
If a day is too long, would that be enough to wear a little cotton cap to protect at least the top?
(I'm completely new to this 😅 )
(Been making costumes for years, but I've never gone down the latex road till now ^^ )

a day will be fine, it's prolonged sun exposure that would be an issue
like, leaving it when you're not wearing it, on a windowsill or something and even then the damage would be in the order of months
you can find videos on YouTube about how to soften latex costumes with hairdryer heat, btw
