lol "buldak" loosely translates to "burning chicken" or "fiery chicken"
That sauce is my favorite!
Ordered rice bowl from a restaurant
Oh that reminds me... I had an oyakodon ages ago, and it was good
Getting KBBQ for dinner!
send pics 🥺
ooo I love that ice cream!!!
It's my favorite dessert. I usually get Red Bean but wanted to try something new.
Same, we don't have that flavor here yet I think, only red bean, chocolate & strawberry. I usually get the red bean one, too. ☺️
I get the matcha one!
aaaa haven't tried that one too!! matcha and brown sugar boba 🥺
THERES A BROWN SUGAR ONE?!
Yess 😭 and we don't have it here, crying
Breakfastttt
In my photo, Brown Sugar Boba
ty
I've only ever seen those on ad but I want to try one so bad!!!
Not sure. I fried homemade potstickers and they turned into something delicious.
OH SO THAT'S POTSTICKERS
XD
I thought potstickers were, you know, stickers for your pots lol
No its because they stick to the pot lol
Normally it's a hot skillet with a bit of oil on the bottom, you the flat side (so it sticks to the bottom of the pot) and then add in some water and put a lid on to steam the rest of the dumpling and cook it.
Ahh
it looks like @remote kayak just deep fried the suckers which.. yum
.. you fry the flat side
how did I miss an entire verb?
I deep fried them
I stole it Shlee
oh no. my verbs. ;_;
You can also steam them
Should I take the risk with an unknown flavour
it's equivalent to our kuotie
So, gyoza?
Yeah!
I don't know about them either lol which part of Indonesia is that dish from
Or maybe in different name?
cindo part lah
Figured, lol.
it makes sense since most of them contains pork
though i think there's some from chicken too, for halal ver
Always
Yeah the closest thing it resembles for me is gyoza
like... the juice from the packet of chicken??
or like chicken broth? because one of those sounds like salmonella poisoning and the other is delicious, lol
no, when a chicken is cooked, and the residue that drips from it
STOCKS
or like how
steaks 'bleed'
that kind of thing
cook pasta with steak blood instead of wate
r
I somehow managed to go into editing mode to add the r and still sent it separately
Discord had its own plans
Retribution for stealing your verbs
i doubt it's cursed since it's basically chicken stock
sounds much better than plain water even
It’s not quite chicken stock but it is on the way to some decent gravy
I mean, to be fair, chicken stock generally also includes things like aromatic vegetables (celery, onion, carrot, etc.) and seasonings... but yes.
I mean I guess chicken pasta is basically ramen noodles with flavoring packs :P
Elsa's on the right track though! pan fry the chicken, then with the drippings and maybe a little butter in the pan, add some flour , cook it out a bit to get the raw flour taste out, add some water (or... already-made chicken stock), some salt, black pepper, whatever other seasonings, and then simmer until it's thicc with 37 c's
nom nom nom chicken gravyyyyy
Tastes like ranch yet less spice and its suuuuuuper nice
Where did you get that!?
Going to check Super G Mart this weekend.
Hang on... so if you're reducing your stock, is that like... selling at the boiling point
Investment advice through culinary techniques, sounds totally legitimate!
Totally!
I’m in Australia, I got that from my local Woolworths here in Queensland

I like food too...

That was obvious when you took a air fryer into your hotel room.
Y'all haven't lived until y'all had a Deep-Fried Jell-O Shooter with cake-flavored vodka cream.
is that a bacon?
No its a Pig's mouth.
it screaming gives flavor
Of course its Bacon!
XD
my friends call it 'Meat Mouth'
👀 looks like peanuts
I did notice the peanuts
To which I probably got lost somewhere during biology class, because I was always told peanuts and rice were not the same
Must be a conspiracy tin foil hat engaged
.
Eat Ta-da- Key Must!
These look amazing
They're incredibly decadent
Pikachu!
Have you tried it?
Didn’t realise it even existed
Nor did I til like yesterday
Who makes it? Cadbury?
I didn’t buy it yet as I’m strapped for cash
Um I don’t think so
Geez when my auto correct keeps correcting um to I’m
Yeah my google home just told me
My autocorrect corrects bickford to bickmore 😂
I’ve only seen bickford do juices and cordials
I always thought nestle made it as opposed to Cadbury crunchie
Like how Moro is the Cadbury version of Nestle Mars
Though I only ever see moro in a box of favourites
Hi Rifqi, keep this channel for foods only, please? ^^
ok maya🙏
Well, they're not much different than other mixed drinking snacks we already got here, and the other things are indeed unsalted peanuts
Another mystery solved
Guessing game, Name that heart attack!

Leftover pizza dough, sliced, deep-fried, with homemade pesto.
Good food and good doggos!
Licking their lips while pretending not to stare. 🤣

I WANT DAT MEATBALLSSSS
I can taste the seasoning 🤤

The black one tries to play it cool and then sneak one.
The cat was more straightforward, pacing and meowing until I gave them a piece.
Oh nooo I wantttt 👀
Nooooooooooo……. I feel so dumb.
I just figured out why Nasi goreng is called nasi goreng. 😭. It’s literally rice fried. 😭
Ah yes raccoons, nature's smug swindlers
lol
@compact scaffold
This is my favorite low quality wine xD
it comes in a gallon jug for about 15 dollars it is beautiful
Perfect for entertaining... I'm expecting a high end cabaret now
Might one say a cabaret sauvignon
That stuff is good
Bacon-wrapped, beer cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers.
Red curry base pizza with mozzarella, curry chicken, red onions, and cashews; topped with greek yogurt, cilantro, and lime juice.
Mmmm that sounds soooo goood
Makes me want a pizza at this local spot here, their tikka masala pizzas are amazing
Giant fried spinach 😂
Celebrating Pride month right! Rainbow swirled cheesecake
Ooou that looks like it's going to be goooood I love me some cheesecake! Is it still just a regular cheesecake with the color swirls?
I prefer basic cheesecake over flavored ones :>
Lunch break!! Croquette, Iced Matcha Latte, Egg Salad Sando, Wagyu Cutlet Sando~ SOOOO GOOD
Next to chez panisse
Dang if only I wasn't back at work I'd say meet me there! LOL
I work at a regional laboratory for Kaiser Permanente
Right next to the 80 freeway, between the gilman and university exit
Ah, yes, I think Ive seen it
Did…. You want it in popsicle form?
loool oh no
I wasn't intending to pay for a soup popsicle, I can tell you that.
Yup.
wait wait wait a second you ordered soup?
I thought I did.
yea yea but i mean why soup out of all the food you can order 😂
You seem quite chill about the situation.
Well, I ordered curry from a place I've ordered from before. Their food was delicious last time, so I decided to add something new to my prior order.
The rest was fine; it was just the soup that got me like ????????
lmao you poor soul if my food was like that it would ruin my day
Thankfully the others are fine and in the right form! 😆
I'm happy about that because this was my brunch.
Pineapple tart
Oooo are those nastar 👀
das some big ones lol
A little funfact about nastar or pineapple tart or whatever it's called in your country. It's influenced by portugese. Pineapple itself are native to south america. They introduce the pineapple to the malay peninsula
Pineapple tart is a small, bite-size pastries filled or topped with pineapple jam, commonly found throughout different parts of Southeast Asia such as Indonesia (kue nastar), Malaysia (Baba Malay: kueh tae or kuih tair, Malay language: kuih tat nanas), Brunei and Singapore in various forms. The origins of the pineapple tart possibly derives from...
These are new info 👀
Today's lunch: curry and rice topped with a pan-fried egg
Nice
It is indeed nice 😋
Happy First Day of Summer! ☀️☺🍦
Oooh, and Happy Father's Day! ❤️
that looks so good!!
The drinks we've had tonight:
Bees Knees
Shadow Box
Watermelon Waltz
Matcha Flip x2
That TikTok pasta that every is posting about. This is pre pasta mix in.
I just got the ingredients for it, been meaning to try it! Keep us updated on how it tastes, it looks delicious 😋
It’s delicious. This is the second time I’ve made it. The husband loves it and it makes so much that it feeds us for about 3 meals.
I added in some Rosemary sprigs this second time in addition to the basil and red pepper flakes. Adds a little extra savory to it.
I made pancakes for my Dad for Father’s Day
Finally made my own mango and sticky rice
Anybody else here enjoy eating salted egg fish skin chips 😊 it's sooo good (but also pretty expensive ㅠㅅㅠ)
We have a different brand around here, unless they’ve rebranded recently? I’m trying to watch my weight so trying not to buy too many snacks though.
I think snakyard is originally from Thailand 😄 my personal favorite is the one from Golden Duck but it's so hard to come by where I'm from. Also I haven't tried the one in your photo but I'll be sure to try it if I get the chance!
I can’t remember if it was a limited edition thing or not, but you might be interested in some of the other flavors too!
Making pickled red onions, these things are addictive
Oooh I have not seen that kind of flavor yet but I'm curious as to how it tastes! I'll try looking this up online so I can grab myself one 🌞
Escargot dumplings, because I've had enough fast food for a while.
Lazy Sunday dinner
Hot Pot 🍄 🍲 🍄
just had breakfast but these are making me hungry again! 😭 ❤️
This looks so delicious and fresh!!
I made the executive decision to order food after scrolling through this chat
So good
Made bobuns !
Homemade fermented hot sauce.
Thanks :D !
getting ready to order myself some BP… This is my absolute favorite
We also have white rabbit boba and ice cream here, love it ❤️
I really want to try the ice cream and boba... 🥺
It's super good 😭 I also bought the cake version, shaped like giant candy
not an official one though but they made it with white rabbit-like milky creamy taste XD
loved those as a kid
omg i love those candies!!!! i think i remember eating the ice cream and loving the texture- it's like, chewier than usual ice cream right? it's been a while since i've had some
Yess super creamy and chewy~ I wanna eat it again 😭
We grew some bell peppers and honestly, I'm pretty excited about it! (So is Mila, apparently)
looks like a good harvest! and hi Mila~
Padaek cucumber salad (eaten it with rice) - very spicy, I had to drink oat milk after
😆 i grew peppers once and they tasted sooo baaaad 😂
Bought some pork belly for dinner tonight or tomorrow and had a bit of extra, so made some maple, ‘bacon’ and pecan oatmeal this morning.
🥓 Makes everything better
Rarely eat lunch, but I had an odd craving for tuna fish sandwich. So taadaa. Tuna with kewpie mayo, sweet relish, salt and pepper, with a spinach and pea shoot salad mix, and homemade pickled red onions
and the cutest napkin on earth
Oh thank you!! I made it!
that's so awesome
Here's another napkin, as well as the other side of mine
wow
That Hawaii fabric is vintage, got it at a garage sale
Most of them are quilting cottons, but the kawaii japanese one came from a fabric store in Hawaii, my friend brought me back several yards of different kawaii fabrics
I have made about 20 napkins so far, and a few dish towels. I've been trying to use less paper products, like paper towels
For some things paper can't be beat, but most things are fine with cloth
Are you sure? Wearing a suit with tacos seems brave
This is a very expensive addiction. 😰
Honey walnut shrimp with egg fried rice.
looking at all this food...like now i get why over half the Americans are fat. Me included. Everything on here is fresh and looks super good.
How about a nice salad with grapefruit and fennel for something healthier?
My SO's uni ceviche 😋
For a second I read Uni as like university and was like "Dang that is fancy school lunch!!" Looks yummy!
Made chicken enchiladas for father's day
Ooou yummm!!
First attempt at a simple avocado toast
Are those carrots or tiny sausages, I cannot figure it out
Look like carrots
I think they are called baby carrots? It’s when they cut up an actual carrot into smaller carrots
Pretty heavy breakfast 😄
Dinner tonight.
Not the prettiest dish, but it was super easy. Brown rice with veggies (bell peppers, carrots, Japanese sweet potatoes, grated ginger), thrown into the rice cooker with some veggie stock, mirin, and soy sauce. Marinated beyond burgers with a ginger miso sauce, and pan fried
Yummm! Beyond burgers are pretty good!
Everytime I come here and look at all these pictures I get so hungry lol
me2
🥓
One of my favorite lunches, all comfort foods.
Oooou that makes me want the swedish meatballs from IKEA lol
I love fried okra 😋 and if anyone dose not love Mashed potatoes then we can not be friends no more
Those are bite-sized hush puppies on the left. @sinful flax @winged pasture
Strawberry Super Moon donuts, today only at Krispy Kreme
Yuuummm!
Wish they had those here. They look so good (and probably taste good too)!
Strawberry filling, the top is strawberries and cream. You can taste that it's real strawberries as the darker spots are bits of strawberries.
I also love hush puppies 😁 and chicken pretty much any way you make it but fried is my Fav
Had a boba craving. Black Milk Tea with Boba and Coffee Jelly~
Waaaaaaaaaaaannntttss
I made my own Canadian bacon. Pork loin brined for 3 days then smoked. Fixed pizza tonight with it, looking forward to an English muffin and this with an egg for breakfast tomorrow. Everyone was eating it as I was slicing it! Lol
Is that an American flag cutting board?
Yes!
That looks so good
Lol, we’ve already agreed next time we’re doing 2!
Sounds like a very good choice. A sunny side egg with it 👌
I might even be fancy and do a Benedict
That's just making me even more hungry now
Aww same, I should go get breakfast now! 🍳
I should get dinner 😂
Let's go get our meal! XD
Okay okay 😄
Nice! What grinder is that? I don't recognize it.
It's the Eureka Mignon Facile with a 3d printed hopper/silicone bellows for single dosing I got from Etsy
Ah, I've got a Eureka Filtro for my pour over, it looked a bit similar but not close enough for me to recognize it up front with the mods.
Also modded the Gaggia for 9bar and have the upgraded shower screen in it
The filtro is the same thing, basically. Same burr set I believe
Different front end for a container vs portafilter
Yeah, it's just same size, just cut for more coarse grinding
Here’s my espresso setup if you’re curious. Forgive the mess of grinds.
Any fun plans for breaking it in? Particular beans/roasts you've been wanting to try or the like?
Made some lasagna rolls with ricotta, white sauce, sautéed mushrooms and spinach, and grilled chicken
looks so tasty 😋
Your ketchup and mustard are looking suspiciously solid there, but I can't paprika my finger on it
I steamed these peppers and onions with the brats in beer before grilling them.
Oh that certainly is an interesting possibility for sure
Unless you're trying to throw me off, and these really are strips of solid condiments tin foil hat
What beer did you use? A darker or lighter blend?
Irish Red Ale
Brats are one of the few foods I could eat everyday and never get tired of them
I do not know this brand, how fun!
Clam chowder with bacon
Truffle cream pesto pasta with herb salmon 💗 Cooked this for some guests today
That looks Amazing! Can i be a guest please lol 🤤
ditto
Me three~
oooh nice, I'm doing southern biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs for supper tonight
OMG I LOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE Biscuits and Gravy especially sausage gravy💖 ❤️ ♥️ 😋
yes please, I want toset up sdomething like this when i get my house
It's a rabbit hole that you'll spend way too much on 😂
that looks really good
Yeah I kinda fireguard, I will just be like this goes here that there, then nope hang on this there and that here. hmm yeah i can see it now☕
Things don’t get real till you start customizing your coffee stand and modding your grinders and/or espresso machine. It can quickly become a very expensive hobby. On the plus side, you can make espresso from whatever beans you want and experiment with all the fun flavors!
Here is an apple pie I made a while back
Soon I will be making gluten free brownies and apple pie for a 4th of July road trip/overnight stay at my grandparents ranch
If anyone is wondering it is homemade pie filling in pillsbury dough pie crust with home made strussel crumble topping
The filling was made by yours truly
Grandma made shrimp alfredo with garlic bread, angel hair pasta, and jumbo shrimp and it's chef's kiss
I've already got my machine modded with a 9 bar OPV 😂
We got a machine at work pushing 2000 bar, close enough right?
Yes
Perfect, I'll replace the abrasive with coffee grounds
It might obliterate the cup, but ya gotta make sacrifices
Hmm you still need a mad scientist condenser for your brewing desk
And a Tesla coil
Yes
One thing you could add that I added recently is battery backup. A 1500 VA / 1000W UPS is enough for me to pull a couple shots when the power goes out here. And we tend to have spotty power in the winter.
And a roaster so you can roast your own coffee beans. I feel like that’s the next rabbit hole that people I know tend to go down.
Yeah luckily I have a local ish roster I use who is amazing lmao. You can buy a home roaster without spending a fortune, though.
Going Indian tonight with Chicken Tikka Marsala, Lamb Curry and lots of Garlic naan
I love some Indian food
I'm craving for some butter chicken and biryani... My big sis is an expert in cooking it but she insists on me eating something called Dolma. 👀
I'm having a grad dinner party tonight! ☺️
Will posts some photos later on! 📸
congratulations
OMG enjoy and congratz, It was a toss up for me either the Butter Chicken or the Lamb Curry I had Tandoori Chicken last time so went for the Lamb this time @civic ruin Had the Tikka Marsala
Shrimp wontons! 🍤
Post workout dinner: beyond burger with cheese, greens, garam masala mayo, and homemade pickled red onions, basil pesto veggie-based rice, and sweet potato nuggets
how does the beyond burger taste? i’m trying to go more plant based and there’s so many different brands, i never know what’s good!
I like the beyond burg a lot, more than any other plant based burger. The impossible one is okay, but I find it to be extremely salty tasting. I haven't been able to eat red meat for almost 10 years now, so I like the fact I have so many options
Fresh homemade apple pie (except for the crust)
Thought those were Dino nuggets lol
Oooh pie! It looks 😋- I feel you on the crust tho - sometimes you feel like making crust and sometimes you don’t! Lol. I hope you had some vanilla ice cream too!
Indian foooood
Looks nicee! I need me some garlic butter naan... 🥺
looks delicious
@civic ruin and I just had some yesterday I could eat Naan forever
Mood. I got whole wheat roti, prawn tandoori, chicken masala tandoori, dal, and samosa(with a mango lassi)
I had Lamb Curry this time last time I had Tandoori Chicken @civic ruin had the Chicken Tikka Marsala and we shared 4 garlic naans😋 This weekend I am going to get Butter Chicken
also Tandoori shrimp/prawns sounds good so I might have to throw that in too 😁
Lol
@warm inletis that nan bread
No, it is a whole wheat bread called roti
heard of it but from one of my Caribbean friends
It's very tasty
I had it on martinique, it was gud
Eat tada-h key must!
Before oh mesh yee agar eh
And of course after, go cheese some test yah
you forgot the saw there
Oh right correct yes saw mah test
@vernal lance それはいくらですか www (~ ̄▽ ̄)~
Mmmmmm sushi sounds soo good
It doesn't even sound good, it also tastes and looks good
What would maki sound like anyway
Like 5 bucks
Mmmm looks good!
That Pancake looks so good.
On Sat. My family is making eggrolls. My Sister in - law is Korean. So excited to eat them
#latenightcooking i am no chef lol. But mac n cheese, pork chops and avocado toast. Not sure i will like the toast. I have only tried avocado once.. tasted kinda like eggs so thats how i seasoned it..like i do my eggs
Avocado not horrible, but not something i will buy again or for a while. Just the texture and something else in the taste i am not fond of
How I do my avocado: Slice in half, scoop it into a cup or glass, add some sweetener (sugar, honey, or condensed milk), mix awhile (I like the chunky bits) and it's ready to serve
Ah avocado dessert!
I'm not sure about sweetener in avocado. Not completely against trying it, but not fully willing to try either. I have all 3 of those things tho. I sadly can't do that with this one cause it's all mushed up and has pepper and greek seasoning in it lol. Likely wouldn't taste that good.
yeah it's cultural difference i guess lol
we view avocado as more of a dessert thing here XD
oh man might have to try it sweetened soon. Usually I just put my avocados on tacos or egg sandwiches
Durian anyone?
Ooohhh did you buy it peeled or did you have to peel the durian by yourself?? 👀
I bought it a whole but get helped peeled.
Is that the stinky fruit lol? Not sure If I would be able to get past that to try it.
There are a lot of varieties of durian and the smell and flavor varies a lot. I hated the first kind I tried because it smelled so intensely of onions and stinky cheese and had an aftertaste of those that lingered for hours, but I found other varieties that have a different balance of smell and flavor that I like a lot, so it’s very much a thing where you may not like any durian ever, or might need a few times before you warm up to it, or you might like some varieties and hate others.
I like to eat mine as guacamole onion, garlic, lemon juice salt and pepper. I can eat it alone or with chips or in a blt/club
Dinner? Dinner.....
Fancy
Might be a little boring for some, but just getting over a stomach bug so I made some chicken and rice soup from scratch.
Maple donut with cinnamon sugar and candied pecans.
ooo that looks good
just add bacon!
Already ahead of ya.
Then there were these with extra bacon.
these are pretty Canadian 😂
All you need is some good ol' canadian maple syrup 🍁 ✨
Pure maple syrup is great as a coffee sweetener fyi... 👀
Bacon 😍
Grilled salmon with chimichurri sauce, foil-packet veggies, and Bhutanese red rice, with a hard apple cider
that's not maple syrup ~evil monkey finger~
Niiiiiiicccccceeee
On the other hand, my niblings want this, and it's so bad that I'm having to hide it behind a spoiler tag. BTW, their parents are my half siblings.
I like the cereal but the syrup is kinda much
This is what they eat that on at their house...

What they said ^
Yeah, notice how I distanced myself from them in the explaination? 🤣
I've never had that. I haven't been back home in 6+years it looks good tho
I'd eat the mermaid waffle . . . . who doesn't love a good blue waffle
😏 😶
Please let's keep the jokes PG13
My brain can’t map the color of those blue waffles to raspberry flavor. My mom and I used to make Christmas cookies most years and we usually used red and green for plain vanilla and blue for cream cheese flavor, so I seem to forever associate blue baked goods with buttery and cream cheesy cookies. 😐
i made a virgin margarita 🍸✨
you make it the same, just without the alcohol
margarita mix & ice and then use a blender
Oooh i've never heard of a margarita mix before! XD
yeah you can buy a bottle of it! it's cool! and then i just used lemon juice on the rim and dipped it in some sugar
Perfect hot day juice aaaa
mhm!
By your own right?
8 people eating right after 1 more later
But I could definitely eat the eggs by myself
No shame here we love any excuse to go all out with friends and Family
💯
I just did a s'mores with these cookies and trader joes' marshmallows (they are gelatin free), and OMFG SO GOOOOOOOD
what's this?
looks tasty
Happy Murica noisy day?
July 4th cake parfaits, regular sponge cake dyed blue with macerated strawberries and whipped cream.
That looks delicious
That is terrifying
But kudos for the culinary arts
A little bit alien in design, but still a masterpiece. 🤪
Spatchcock Turkey, large crab, a long sausage, season with tears of the innocent to taste.
My Aussie Black Gold arrived.
Treasure from down undah
I hated those Terry's chocolate orange I'm soo positive that's what it's gonna taste like
that's a crab?
bruh it's looks like las plagas from resident evil 4
Made to look like the facehuggers from alien
You're right, it does taste like those.
It's all about angles.
A tatertot burrito from Taco Daddy's, on of my favorite local places
Beignets are so good
Speaking of Burritos! I wish i had a good pic of this ones insides- hash browns/eggs/sausage gravy!
You guys are making me hungry lol
breakfast burritos
Yup! Just did one for supper too! Fried shrimp with bang bang sauce! (Equal parts Mayo, sweet chili sauce, with 1/3 part honey) I probably should have put in some veg, but I stuffed 10 shrimp in there.
Bang Bang Sauce!
Made masala spiced burgers (real beef for my partner and beyond meat for me) for dinner :3 and then grilled corn, sweet potato fries, and a mango lassi-like smoothie
Ohhhh looks tasty!
Yup! Also awesome on fried chicken
Mae ploy is the “name brand” but my local grocer has their own labeled ‘Thai sweet chilli sauce’
i would do this lmaooo
I grew some jalapeños (the second one not shown)!! Anyone have any recipes?
S'mores funnel cake
You take the japaneno, and then put it like a cherry on a ball of icecream tadaaa
On a more realistic note, you could mix it into a ratatouille with bellpeppers
Or make a couscous
Pickle them
Or grind them with oil, herbs, tomatoes into some paste
oooooo
I'm still not sure what the true spicy is
I keep seeing things say, no x is a lie, it is y
Supposedly now it's not the seeds being the spicy, but the whites joining the seeds to the rest
You can cut lengthwise or perpendicular disks
All of jalapeno is spicy, but some parts more than others. I've noticed that the seeds are spicier than the rest but it's hard to test.
The seeds are indeed the hottest part.
Scientist have tested different parts for capsaicin and the most concentrated part is the seeds.
I recall such, but some human lore seems to permanently muddle
I'd assume part of it is also like, how much you have and how it's prepared
I like fresh diced jalapeños and sweet corn sautéed in butter with a little salt as a simple summer dish. They also tend to pair well with bacon and cheese dishes, so like macaroni and cheese with some diced jalapeños in it can be really tasty. Or wrap them in bacon and grill them. Or just put them on tacos or sandwiches or poke or something.
I mentioned bacon wrapped jalapeños, and bacon wrapped jalapeños appeared! Magic! 🤯
oooo that's looks good
Homemade cookies, aw yeah!
Looks delish! I love eating morning glory with shrimp paste~ 🍽️
Hefty meals early on
Howl's Moving Castle type beat
Garlic butter cheese tortellini =)
omfg looks B O M B
Breakfast from this morning.
Sausage gravy is the best!
Free trail snacks!
I feel ancient for remembering this commercial.
And dinner tonight.
Ice cream with cookie bits in the bottom and chocolate shell on top 🤤
Ooh! Did you know if you melt chocolate chips with 1 Tbsp of coconut oil you can make homemade magic shell?
Happy National Fry Day to my fellow Americans~!! Many restaurants and fast food stops are having free fries today!

My mom is so glad she's not working today lmao
Patty melt with Orzo soup
Just finished smoking pork butt and put it in sous vide - will have bbq sandwiches tomorrow! Then planning on taquitos, then some gumbo with that pork - 9 lbs! We also smoked flour for the gumbo and I can’t wait to see how it does!
Looks amazing and on my fav paper plates too
That looks absolutely amazing!!
It's super good
seeing that made me order one, though i’m not confident it’s going to look that good 😆
Does that happen to be from the Redmond/Bellevue, Washington area? If so I think I know where you got it. 🙂
Nope SW Ohio food truck
Lol! I'm originally from SW Ohio but haven't lived there in over a decade! Enjoy the food!
So... at the risk of starting controversy... What are your thoughts on Cincinnati chili? It's been ages since I had any, but I do miss it a bit, as well as some of the local ice cream options, and fair/festival food.
I don't mind it. Skyline is the superior choice unless you're going somewhere like one of the non-chains.
Graters is awesome as always though
put cinnamon in rolls - not in chilli!
Lol! Cincinnati chili is really more of a Greek-inspired ground beef stew. It’s very similar to the ground beef filling in moussaka or pastitsio. Incidentally, It’s been super rare for me to find better Greek food in the rest of the US than I could get in Ohio as we had a fair number of Greek immigrants.
Yeah, it is. There is quite a bit of really solid Greek food. My city actually has a big Greek Food Festival every year.
There is a local Greek food truck that makes Pork Belly Gyros and yeah
Skyline also has Greek origins big time. They have info about that on their menus and stuff
Salt and vinegar chips.
👍 or 👎?
May I also offer for your consideration: these.
But….. what is the flavour!?!?!
was about to ask the same XD was it cursed flavor lol
👀 I want.
Hard to describe the voodoo chips. They're sort of like salt and vinegar chips but also with chili powder, paprika, garlic, onion, and smoke flavor. It's not quite barbecue, but not quite salt and vinegar either.
A truely cursed chip
the taste is quite okay though! I want to try the melon one someday lol
Those look like Thai Lays? I can't quite make out the small writing. I've had kinda mixed luck with their flavors - I remember liking the sweet basil flavor, but at lot of the rest have been surprisingly bland for me. The melon flavor would be interesting to try though...
Yes, those are Thai Lays! I think the best out of the Thai Taste series are Shrimp Tomyum and Crab Curry flavor~
Ah. I don't think I've managed to get either of those before. I'll keep an eye out for them though!
I don't like basil and green curry so I didn't try both~ but can vouch for those two!
(and the lemon one if you want to try hehe)
I also tried Pringles instant noodles (Jalapeno onion) but I don't like it ^^;
We don’t have Lays here. I mean “we do” but we don’t. 😂. Pepsi/lays bought out the competition here in Australia but kept the label instead of changing it to Lays.
Grippos are great
Late lunch yum! Mangaon ta (let's eat)! 😋 Also, curious to know how you guys say "let's eat" in your dialect/language? 💖
(Clockwise, from top: sweet potato fries, lumpia, sizzling tofu, fried chicken, rice, stir-fried noodles/pancit)
Enjoy your lunch! 💖 In Indonesian it would be "Selamat Makan" ☺️
We have lumpia here, too~ 🙌
this one confuses me
i can not imagine chips/crisps to be cooling or refreshing like water
Haha yes it's quite unique...it tastes like lemon and mint~
i... i think i wanna try it now xD
They're very fun to eat, kinda like jumbo and stuffed fries 😄
I also tried it out of curiosity XD
i can believe that haha
Yesss haha I love lumpia 😍
In my language I’d say, Let’s eat.
well in my language it's called hayu tuang 👍
Sending some macaroons from a local shop where im from
OMG THOSE ARE ADORABLE
That's crazy
that looks really adorable and cute :)
yeah, they taste really good too
passion fruit, and black sesame, and caramel are really good haha
oh how cute
wahh those are so cute
Waoww those look amazing
Decided to brave the wait at one of the best taco trucks in the area. They are still delicious.
From left to right - roasted poblano with sour cream, chorizo and potato, chicken tinga, broccoli, and zucchini with corn.
@stable kestrel California?
Washington.
That also would explain why there's broccoli in a taco :p
Looks good though!
The broccoli was a little over cooked today, so not as good as usual. They sadly no longer have nopales as an option but do have broccoli and Brussels sprouts as sort of alternatives.
I could eat a million tacos a week and still want more tacos they are the greatest human invention of all time there is nothing you can not find a way to put in a taco.
We don't have em as much here
But we are really good at bread loaves here, not that sandwich bread kind
Bread in just about any form is my other weakness that I could eat forever you can just do anything with it and it goes with everything
blueberries! :D
Ahaha XD Miniature tomato!! 🍅
Miniature tomato or giant hand?
Who swapped the tomato plant for cherry tree without looking?
Mum's morning glory
Oooou all that flavor soaking up... Gimme a bowl of rice and I'll gobble all that up lol
Yes! I've eaten it all, it was so good 😭 Mama Pen (my mothers name is Pen) did it again
Food? Yep, this is the place I need to be. 🙂
that tiny tomato is one of the cutest things i've seen lately
Tomatiny?
that looks really good!
i have no clue how to get my hands on tilapia, but i definitely want it in the game (they are open to meal suggestions in #🤝coral-feedback :) I want to think of as many cool reasonable meals as possible :D)
Tilapia can be found at the supermarket, but only in filets, white fish
is fish tricky food if you dont prepare it well? (like meat)
In terms of texture and flavor vs a common white fish, like cod, which is mild in flavor and soft, tender texture, Tilapia is more mild/sweet in flavor and a little firmer, so it can withstand longer cook times
Also that first dish, someone gave up halfway and went, eh the WHOLE FISH will do
I cut it like twice, I'm done
Filipinos use the whole thing most of the time
Oh I'm not saying it's not an option, but less frequently seen here
i have a salmon lasagne recipe, it's really good
here is a photo of one of the 5 lasagnas i made last time (i underestimated how much it would make when i bought the ingredients, my bad) i cant seem to find more photos of them sadly
Mmm in terms of sashimi, salmon is my favorite
it seems like i've been forgetting to take photos of the food i've been making the last months :c
I quite enjoy sushi
I've gone to the restaurant a few days ago
Had a lovely tenderloin with grilled vegetables, an entree of potato salad with ham shavings, cress, peony and zi think asparagus mousse
Ah and the meat with a lovely bearnaise sauce, and like the thiccest fries, because they basically cut giant rectangles nom
tonight we're going to eat (dutch style) chinese food (its different in each and every country :P), but sushi is on my 'should eat again' list :)
gotta go for now, bye :)
Baaai, have fun eating
Bami, sate, and... rendang?
bami, foe yong hai, chicken sate :)
I'm healthy I swear scarfs down
pizza can be healthy
yea it can be healthy :)
Hmm, can contain healthy ingredients for sure
But overall, there are better alternatives 😋
I didn't want much, so I just got a cupcake.
you and these desserts are killing me
take me with you I promise I can fit in your pocket
Not anymore after binging on all them sweets though
A lightly blackened Chicken breast, diced, and tossed in Voodoo Sauce. Topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, pickle, and remoulade sauce.
You should try my "Death by Chocolate Cheesecake", I make it with 7 forms of chocolate.
Liquid, solid, gas, plasma, bose einstein condensate and?
Cookie, fudge, syrup, couverture, gianduja, mousse, and ruby.
Big mood
I call this the fatty smore. It's a chocolate-stuffed marshmallow and a warm brownie stuck between two cookies
No I did not finish it
Well with all the sweets shown, there's enough sugary food for ten
😫
Nom, also pure beetus
Dessert stomach unfolds from pocket dimension
😂
This happens every time i tell myself i’m going to eat healthy 😂
Gyeongdan, gooseberries, a plum, and some oolong tea. Good Friday night
In which countries do cupcakes look that delicious? O.o
🤤 you said words that fill my heart with joy
you turn it into an art, i'm hungry to hear more!
it looks so sticky, my brain tells me it needs to go in my mouth, looks so good >v<
also looks very sticky, the typical 'worth it' sticky :P
i mean, yes xD
same.... same xD
i dont know any of it, but it does look very curious :D
United States, North Carolina
aww maaaaan, thats an ocean away from me :c
Just one small ocean
Leftovers are the best kind of dessert to eat at 12 am
small when you fly over it in a plane, big when you try to cross it by swimming :P
haha good mindset :)
Still purdy big with a plane, nothing but water around for a while
only like 8 hours :P
so in the latest video from How To Cook That, i learned that 200 years ago, they put cow shit in food 🤢
curious how people will think about things we eat in 200 year :P
Ew????
yeah, ew indeed xD
she mentions it in the video of 'weird 200 year old marshmallows (...)', and no she doesnt make the cow poop recipe xD
In the future please keep the language PG for the server. ✨
Octo-Rolls, sometimes called “tako sand” are popular in Portugal and Spain.
That specific Octo-Roll is served at Misuta Chows, 521 Main St. in Buffalo. This Tako Sand consists of a braised and crispy Spanish octopus tentacle, served on a toasted hot dog bun; with tangy togarashi ketchup, radishes, and sweet pea tendrils.
I know you can also get an Octo-Roll at a pub that specializes in Spanish and French cuisine called Chaval in Portland, Maine.
Would've loved to fly the concorde.
Also squid hotdoooog
the image gives me many mixed feelings, both of wanting to try and of benig scared O.o
i really wanna fly to Canada again, i miss being there, and the foods they have there as well
On the one hand, it looks potentially delicious, on the other hand, I’ve had enough poorly cooked squid and octopus that my brain is just squeamishly thinking about how intensely rubbery a bad one of those would be.
Since these snacks came up before, the latest flavor assortment of crispy fish skin snacks I saw last week. I swear the price has gone up though - I remember them being like $5-7 per bag before.
Thats... pricey?
I’ve seen those snacks
Cheesesteak Pita sandwiches and fries
I'm making my first nabe tonight! (not pictured, the gyoza dumplings I'm also adding)
also, if anyone has any good recipes that use miso, doubanjiang and/or chinese sesame paste, I'd appreciate it
and my breakfast was a few hands full of nuts :P your meal looks delicious already
This is from Yuru Camp. TanTan Gyoza Nabe.
thank you!
also, it's nearly completely vegetarian since I used vegetarian gyoza as well (if you ignore the fact I used chinese chicken stock)
i do most meals nearly completely vegetarian, cuz i cook in bulk, and after re-heating meat that has been frozen it just doesnt taste the same
except chili, chili needs meat in my opinion xD
i havent had the version without meat, but my brain tells me chili needs meat :P
YO THAT LOOKS DOPE
I live with two sort of vegetarians, so it's just easier to do vegetarian
i can believe that 😋
I smell a student style cooking strategy
i guess one could call it that :P personally i call it easy in daily life, and absolutely loving my freezer :P
honestly, i started doing it after i stopped studying, so i was like 'huh, yeah, never thought of it that way' :P
Some meals can easily be bulk cooked, here Thursday is leftover day for that reason
Not all foods lend themselves well to to reheating though
i bought big pots and pans for bulk cooking, and i select what meals i make for whether they can be bulk made xD
soups especially, they're so good 😋
tomato soup, vegetable soup, lentil soup 😋
I made shepherds pie
The poor shepherd, his pie was stolen
Mine
ohh that looks so good :D
Lol
Hmm, that is what a shepherd robber would say...
Clearly it was really fast as you left the Worcestershire sauce
What minced meat didya use?
Just the regular 1kg mince that I always buy from Woolworths
Not the lean stuff though, that stuffs like $15 per kg
As for the recipe it was something I made
That’s 1kg of potatoes too
So much peeling
No peeling at all, I left the skin on and pressure cooked them for 20mins
Then mashed once they all split
Oh with some bio potatos that's certainly doable
I was gonna peel them after they were cooked but that idea went out the window when they split lol
Wasn’t expecting it
I've sometimes had difficulty peeling tomatoes
It should go easily, but sometimes they don't wanna separate
Taro milk tea with oolong. So tasty.
Had more meat than usual this week and was getting really tired of it so I made some vaguely South Indian dal and spinach… something. I don’t know what to classify it as, but it tastes good at least!
The final meal. Simple, but tasty.
My sister and I share cooking duties in our family
So leftovers are common
We have a lot of frozen food
frozen food is good yea :)
I forgot I fried some cheese sticks and the cheese leaked out from the batter because of that 😦
I really recommend toasted sandwiches with cheese and home made garlic sauce in the inside!
I can't show it to you because I ate it too fast
Classification = Delicious😋
Can anyone recommend any less common but reasonably healthy and more vegetable-heavy dishes from around the world that you think are tasty and that don't take a lot of work or tons of ingredients that would be rare in the US to prepare? In particular it needs to be gluten free and ideally with little or no dairy. I feel like I'm in a bit of a cooking rut - oatmeal, pancakes, various soups and stews, Vietnamese rice noodles with salad, various Thai soups, salads, and curries, and some Mexican, Indian, Hawaiian, and Japanese food thrown in the mix.
I've eaten a lot of Korean dishes that might be worth a look, I'm not sure I personally know many recipes but I could recommend some dishes. Kimchi, kimchi stew, japchae (glass noodles), naengmyeon, and bibimbap are some of my favorites without meat/much dairy that I know of. They're all pretty healthy as well, I believe!
Kimchi is typically an appetizer type of dish so kimchi stew is probably more suited for a meal. Japchae is noodles made of potatoes I think, and they tend to mix it with veggies and eat it cold. Naengmyeon is buckwheat noodles also eaten cold in broth and various veggies. Bibimbap is just a bunch of veggies with rice and red pepper paste for flavor, you can leave the egg out if you don't eat eggs
A lot of Cuban dishes aren’t too hard to make GF or generally don’t involve flour (and don’t use dairy either)! Ropa vieja, black beans and rice, plantains, chicken fricasee
I don't cook Korean food too often, but it might be worth looking into more. Unfortunately a lot of dishes tend to have wheat in them if I get them from a restaurant (soy sauce, gochujang, doenjang, are the common hidden sources) and that's pretty dicey for me since I'm allergic. I have mixed feelings about kimchi - it's fine as an ingredient in soup or stew, but I don't usually care for it plain. I do love the little fried seasoned fish cake banchan, though. Probably the Korean food I've had the most is bibimbap, japchae, tteokboki, and soft tofu soup.
honestly I can never go wrong with oyster sauce, ginger and chili flakes on any vegetable
A little salty for my taste, but reliable for a lot of them at least?
well you portion it to you taste lol you don't have to add soo much that you pucker and go whoooooa that's salty 😂
Fair enough. Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone! And I’m certainly open to other ideas too. Just feel like changing it up a bit and trying something new that I’ve not really had before.
Not really a particular cuisine but I really recommend Chelsea Mae's YouTube videos about her vegan meal prep
She got me into eating a proper balanced diet and the value of non-starchy vegetables. It's all stuff I knew before but her channel helped me really implement the knowledge and seriously triple my daily vegetable intake.
Definitely made going plant-based way easier too
I can recommend if you need dairy in a recipe to check out non-dairy coffee creamers the original flavored ones are a great alternative to heavy cream in soups, they won't thicken them as much as normal heavy cream will but you can always add a bit of cornstarch slurry to do that. I usually make my breakfast grits/oatmeal with a splash of it instead of milk nowadays.
^also cashew cream is a great way to thicken soups as well and is a tried and true tactic used in South Asian cuisine. A well-known example is butter chicken!!
Got smoothies with the bestie yesterday
Ooou that looks delish
looks delicious :D
It was ☺

Yes! My mom is Belizean and we make so many of these dishes so frequently. They'd be great anytime
Recipe please 😩 👍 !
Sure thing! Here's one (it's locally called pancit bihon in my language 😊) https://kitchenconfidante.com/vegetarian-pancit-bihon-filipino-rice-noodles-veggies
Lovely !! Merci beaucoup 😁 !
Lamb and rice soup with coconut milk. It may not look super fancy, but it is tasty.
nah i know exactly what that is supposed to taste like, and that looks tasty! ^_^
looks good :)
Been a while since i shared something here
Here's my first attempt in smoking beef!!!
I smoked this for 6 hours and wrapped in foil for 3 hours... Cooled for 2 hours
And a strawberry cheesecake that i made yesterday
woww good job! both are looking delish~ 🥺 🍽️
Aw, now I'm getting hungry looking at that, and it's not dinnertime yet XD
Oooft! Sorry!!!
It's a party!!!
Just had breakfast but saw these and ready for lunch lolol
Nice
thanks >v<

We doin a food huddle at someone? Yaaaagh
It sounds lethal with sugary sugar
Smoked chilli peppers, roasted tomatoes and onions, with fermented garlic.
Letting the pizza sauce rest before I taste it and see if it needs anything else. I might try sorrel?

Had a little leftover lamb and a lot of leftover tasty broth, so I made some kind of lamb and spinach vindaloo type thing? It’s richly spiced and it’s tart from wine vinegar and tamarind paste anyway. 🤷♀️
Hi there! You can share this in #💻creators-content ^^
But for tonight, I had extra Maine Lobster after making Lobster Bisque, so I made a Lobster Grilled Cheese too!
We really got some chefs in here, holy smokes
Not me being proud of my air fryer wings
......my dinner was literally a bowl of potatoes XD I'm in awe of all of these delicious-looking dishes
You say this as if there's somehow something wrong with a bowl of tasty potatoes. Just because I cook 'fancier' stuff some of the time doesn't mean the basics aren't delicious.
True. I could've made stuff (I got the ingredients for a spinach quiche) but the heat has robbed me of the desire to cook
I was definitely there when we had a massive heat wave here a few weeks back - had to order out or just eat overnight oats and stuff because cooking was not happening.
the foods look absolutely delicious
my parents came to visit, and my mom does not drink milk, so i made freakshake for her with almond milk, banana and chocolate. For the whipped cream that is in it, i gave her a glass of orange juice
my dad wanted coffee instead, and wasnt fan of salty much, so i used chocolate icecream and coffee, to make ice coffee, and instead of salty i used chocolate decoration on the glass
oh and i used liquid chocolate on top of it, with both of them ;P
im still gonna look for better decorations for those who arent fan of salty sticks (like me :P my boyfriend loves them) like M&M's or something
fun thing: before i ever had drank any freakshake, i really wanted to try them, and online said it was really easy to make. But my brain said it looked too difficult to make, so i believed it must be harder than they said it was. Then i tried one, at a very nice place, and i realized that it was indeed very easy to make :) Just wanted to share it, if someone is equally anxious to make it like i was at first, it really is very easy to make :)
Wow!
HOLY MOLY
Ice cream is my kryptonite.... I can't say no to ice cream... and that looks GLORIOUS I WOULDN'T WANT TO SAY NO TO THAT
I'm especially a sucker for salty-sweet ice cream :>>>>
But I'm weird like that lol
Yesss! THOUGH I really don't like it when the salted caramel isn't salty enough
i can understand that :)
But there's a place in san francisco called Salt & Straw, and they do a whole bunch of cool and interesting ice cream flavors
One is Sea Salted Ice Cream with Caramel
The salt is not in the caramel, but the ice cream itself!!
there is an icecream shop nearby, and they also have salted caramel icecream :)
YESSS and it's sooo good, even though you don't like salty, I think you would enjoy it lol
i would probably love it :)
personally im really fan of sweet flavors, like chocolate, banana or strawberry, or like fresh flavors like lemon. But the salted caramel is really good as well :)
boyfriend: mine
😄
:D
chocolate milk & freakshake topping, less heavy topping this time (no cupcake/muffin)
partly cuz we were gonna eat pizza, and with cupcake/muffin it would be wayyy to heavy
partly cuz i was exhausted :P
i asked my boyfriend to decorate with the salty sticks, so he started writing with it xD
i love that guy :)
I actually did something as an adult today look at me go
Oooou tasty salad
Avocados and hard boiled eggs in salad is sooo good. I had some cherry tomatoes too but they tasted a bit odd so I didn't add them in 😂 and I forgot the croutons rip
It's so much work to make healthy meals I don't know how people do this on a consistent basis 🥲
if you have a big freezer, i can DM you my healthy soup bulk recipes?
(i'm gonna sleep, but im always happy to share recipes, i have most recipes digital anyways :) )
My freezer has some room, recipes would be great. I looove soup
Sadly I have no clear recipes, just ideas and vague directions, but I do make a lot of soup since it’s easy to cook in batches and relatively easy to make it somewhat healthy and very filling.
First idea: Chicken with collard greens and brown rice. Sort of a 2-day process for me, but the second day is faster? I basically just make chicken broth by lightly browning whatever chicken meat I’m using (wings give the best broth but the least meat), then simmer it with water, salt, a little cider vinegar, and some thyme and/or bay leaf if I feel like it. Simmer it on low heat till the meat is done. Pick the meat off the bones and toss the skin and bones back in the broth and let it cook as long as you want, even a full day if that’s your thing. Next day, bloom some ground chilies of your choice in butter, olive oil, or rendered chicken fat from the broth. Add chopped collard greens and cook for maybe 5-10 minutes, then add broth and brown rice and cook till those are done, like 40 minutes or so, then add the cooked chicken meat from before just to reward it. Add a little more cider vinegar and hot sauce to taste at the end. The whole thing is relatively low fat, full of leafy greens, and very low in FODMAPs for anyone who needs to watch those. You can probably make it a lot faster if you buy some pre-cooked chicken and canned broth and follow the rest of the recipe, but I think it tastes a lot better when I just start with plain chicken and water and go from there.
I can periodically post more like that if folks are interested? It’s a little much to dump my whole list of soups and stews at once though.
Trickling might be better yeah, but people could get some new inspiration from it
I approve, salted caramel is delicious
I bought a milkshake with a cupcake in it.
