# dull star anyone got any good book recommendations for egyptian mythology?

also, depending on what type of book you're looking for these are great too:
The Kane Chronicles - 3 book series Written by Rick Riordan the author behind best sellers such as Percy Jackson and The Heroes of Olympus
The Egyptian - Book (Novella) by Mika Waltari
Story of Sinuhe (Sanehat) - Original Ancient Egyptian story from around the 12th dynasty
Tale of the Shipwrecked sailor - Original Ancient Egyptian story from the middle kingdoms
Tale of the Doomed Prince - Original Ancient Egyptian story from the 18th dynasty

#

The Egyptian isn't as mythology based and the last 3 are original stories from the times of the gods, not so much about the gods, more so how the gods affect the life of those living at the time

two quick recommendations
why the moon travels by oein debharduin - a collection of short stories from the irish traveller community. you don't have to be a part of this community to appreciate these stories, i adored them. had the book finished within a day of getting it.
the falling in love montage by ciara smyth - two girls decide to do a rom-com montage for one summer, no strings attached. until they actually fall in love. i should mention a content warning for dementia, if that upsets you in any way i would tell you not to read this book. besides that, it's a cute little book that appeals to a wide audience.

thorny oxide
# lapis mist can you tell me a little more about gourmet hound? i've seen some glowing recomm...

Of course! Gourmet Hound is about a girl name Lucy Fuji who has a heightened sense of smell that finds that a restaurant she used to go to with her grandmother no longer tastes the same and begins this quest to find that chef that left the restaurant that holds that familiar taste. Along her quest, she becomes indebted to the owners of a cafe called Gourmet Hound, whom both used to work at the restaurant she remembers. The core narrative revolves around her search for this chef, and fully coping with the loss of her grandmother. The genres of this webcomic are slice of life, food, and a bit of mystery and romance.

Has anyone mentioned Brandon Sanderson
We got (these are the ones I have read)

Reckoners, series that takes "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" and applies it to superheroes. It's a "post apocalyptic" earth. First person, late teen boy view.
Cosmere, which is where most of the rest of his books fall. Cosmere novels are intertwined in ways we aren't certain yet, other than canon world hopping. They vary mage-punk, steam-punk, semi-survival horror, "The evil overlord won" style post apocalyptic. Most of these are Bigger Books (stormlight archive in particular has yet to be under 1k pages).
I'd start with Mistborn, or Warbreaker, and work through cosmere novels leaving Stormlight Archive (the Way of Kings is #1) for last
This is also the guy who finished off (ghostwrote) The Wheel of Time

Quote from the Entertainment Weekly article that announced the story.

"Written by Tom Taylor (Nightwing, Injustice) with art by Yasmine Putri, Dark Knights of Steel takes place in a new DC medieval fantasy world where Batman isn't even the only familiar resident. This world will be changed when a spaceship crash-lands from a doomed planet. But what seems like the end of the world for many is only the beginning of this story. So yes, Superman and Wonder Woman will also be a part of this, along with Harley Quinn, Black Lightning, and more."

If you like kitties, have kids, or just like fun books about cat adventures then I think you’d like it. 🙀

Here you can purchase the book, this book + the previous book, and a few other goodies such as getting you picture in the book and more!

For those that haven’t used Kickstarter before, this is a way to raise money ahead of time to help us cover the costs of book printing and also allow extra goodies to be added.

Please back and share as you can! Hope you’re all well! 😊

Sorry if this is kinda late, but if you are into Urban Fantasy books I got just the series for you! The Otherworld Series by Yasmine Galenorn is my absolute favorite book series of all time and it's about three fae sisters who live on Earth but need to protect humanity from demons.
