okay okay okay
So I just finished reading Spider-Man: Spider's Shadow and I love this twisted look for Spider-Man. In fact, I've got a few ideas from this design.
anyone got any good book recommendations for egyptian mythology?
I recommend The Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt by Richard H. Wilkinson
thank you! ill check them out
No prob
That looks so damned cool, holy shit
also, depending on what type of book you're looking for these are great too:
The Kane Chronicles - 3 book series Written by Rick Riordan the author behind best sellers such as Percy Jackson and The Heroes of Olympus
The Egyptian - Book (Novella) by Mika Waltari
Story of Sinuhe (Sanehat) - Original Ancient Egyptian story from around the 12th dynasty
Tale of the Shipwrecked sailor - Original Ancient Egyptian story from the middle kingdoms
Tale of the Doomed Prince - Original Ancient Egyptian story from the 18th dynasty
The Egyptian isn't as mythology based and the last 3 are original stories from the times of the gods, not so much about the gods, more so how the gods affect the life of those living at the time
two quick recommendations
why the moon travels by oein debharduin - a collection of short stories from the irish traveller community. you don't have to be a part of this community to appreciate these stories, i adored them. had the book finished within a day of getting it.
the falling in love montage by ciara smyth - two girls decide to do a rom-com montage for one summer, no strings attached. until they actually fall in love. i should mention a content warning for dementia, if that upsets you in any way i would tell you not to read this book. besides that, it's a cute little book that appeals to a wide audience.
Can anyone recommend me crime/mystery/thriller novels? Started reading The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie and I'm loving it so far
I love Out by Kirino Natsuo~ it's a bit dark though
Tokyo zodiac murder by soji shimada. The ending kinda blows my mind
Ohhhh thank u!
And Then There Were None is classic Agatha Christie
The Guest List by Lucy Foley is incredibly engaging and fun (tho heads up for self harm)
Agatha Christie is a legend
Can I get some book recommendation about parallel world/time? The whole transported-into-another-world narnia stuff
Do you have a setting/genre preference? historical fiction? fantasy?
I like the Ulysses Moore series!
I haven't read them yet but the Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire I think is like that!
But that's more time travel rather than 'another world'
hmmm, can't exactly say it's 100% what you're looking for as the girl was raised in the "parallel"-world but the "The Folk of the Air" Trilogy by Holly Black, it's about a human girl living in Faerie, the world of the Fae, might be something?
aaa i used to love holly black!!
If you end up liking The Cruel Prince I would say that the A Curse So Dark and Lonely series has a similar element
Oh I loved the first book of that
My library didnt have the second one tho
so sob
Any genre is fine, but I prefer fantasy haha
Ulysses ✍️ Wayward Children ✍️ The Folk of the Air ✍️
Wayward Children 🥺🥺🥺 Seanan has to be my all time favorite author
Now I'm curious 👀
i like The City and The City by China Miéville, though crime isn't a genre i tangle with often.
Shades of Magic series is about different Londons in a way that I really like, Howl's Moving Castle has some fun stuff with expectations. His Dark Materials, from book 2 onwards really gets into this stuff
Howl...🥺 ❤️
it's good stuff, every few months i remember that the protagonist of the subtle knife (his dark materials book 2) is named "will parry"
thats a funny name
it sounds like a normal enough name to me that it took me 10 years to realize that it's also a phrase and now i keep thinking about it
the howls moving castle novel is so fantastic!!
the movie too ofc but i love how much more of a dork howl is in the book
I love book Howl! Have you read the 3rd book? He had me straight up shriek-laughing.
ah yes!!!!
hes so funny honestly i love how chaotic he is
YES. He's so much fun, like I love the movies, but I feel like it's kind of a different character, haha
honestly!! hes so much more suave in the movie
in the book hes like sophie 🥺 i have a hangnail and it hurts so much im gonna die 🥺 please kiss it better 🥺
and then sophie promptly laughs in his face
I adore both the book and movie, which almost never happens with adaptations. They're different, but you can still tell their related.
oh absolutely!!
Yeah, exactly!!
Reading Mercy right now from Mirka Andolfo, really a great read. The story and art is amazing! Another series of her is Unnatural which i also recommend!
Currently reading I Overcame my Autism and All I Got was this Lousy Anxiety Disorder by Sarah Kurchak. As someone who has been diagnosed with both, I relate with this on a spiritual level. Highly recommend if you are on the Spectrum, know someone who is or want to understand what goes on in our heads a little better
I loved Unnatural and actually have Mercy checked out from Hoopla right now, so this excited me 😄
Will take these titles too! I've watched the movie but not read the book
sounds like a good read! the title is so relatable lmao
read the book, it is actually a portal fantasy
I've been reading the Invincible Omnibus and I really hope season 2 can slip in a reference to this
Finished Mercy a few days ago and i really liked it :) Sweet Paprika is gonna be her next comic.
Really good graphic novel that my ex introduced me to.
It’s a webcomic but I must recommend Gourmet Hound to everyone!!
can you tell me a little more about gourmet hound? i've seen some glowing recommendations, but i don't know anything about it outside the promotional material!
Of course! Gourmet Hound is about a girl name Lucy Fuji who has a heightened sense of smell that finds that a restaurant she used to go to with her grandmother no longer tastes the same and begins this quest to find that chef that left the restaurant that holds that familiar taste. Along her quest, she becomes indebted to the owners of a cafe called Gourmet Hound, whom both used to work at the restaurant she remembers. The core narrative revolves around her search for this chef, and fully coping with the loss of her grandmother. The genres of this webcomic are slice of life, food, and a bit of mystery and romance.
I hope that helps, you can always ask me more if you would like
holy heck, that sounds way more interesting than the branding made it seem :OOO thank you so much, i'm gonna read this for sure!
You're welcome. I love this comic a lot and want to share it with people because I found that it had an amazing story and message that I was not expecting'
I haven't read it for over a year cause I caught up but I loved gourmet hound when I did read it! I should really go back to it
It is finished now so you can defo catch up
Awesome!
I should really finish reading that eventually, I may have to start over though because it’s been quite a while
A couple years at least
I read that it’s sooo good:OO
😭
I saw that too, even if the media isn't for some, it's a sad event
has anyone else just finished Mister Impossible bc i am Dyin
Has anyone else read the new book from Matt Haig? Just finished listening to it and liked it a lot
I wanna recommend the manga My Brother’s Husband for anyone here that want a good manga that talk about gay culture in Japan
I read that too, it's a very sweet and wholesome manga 🥺 ❤️
i really enjoyed name of the wind from patrick rothfuss, but it isn´t for everyone, do you have preferences?
Just started reading Words of Radiance, and it's a fun read
Still haven't got over (spoiler for Shallan's early chapter)||Jasnah's death|| at early chapter. 🙃
One of the fantasy books that I love is called Poison study. It’s kind of a political drama type of fantasy novel (with a splash of romance thrown in as well)
I've heard great things about that one actually! I'm not sure I have a preference per say. I usually pick up books that are trending and, so far, almost every fantasy book I've read was really nice so that's why I'm trying to build a "want to read" pile
I think I've heard of it on youtube! Shall go into my list, thank you!!
Wheel of time is a amazing series of books
I’m 12 hours late to this, but I loved the beyonders trilogy by Brandon Mull
Gets kinda tedious in the middle but it's so worth it. I recommend Malazan if you're into that sort of worldbuilding, too!
I love Malazan so much 😍😍😍
I still have a few to read in the whole series...
Everyone's recommendations for fantasy are top notch 💖
yeah not sure what you've already read or preferred subgenres might be, but staple stuff like brian sanderson or terry pratchett's works also bear mention too
Did you mean Brandon Sanderson? If so, the Cosmere is just chef kiss, what's your favorite series so far?
Also, GNU Sir Terry Pratchett
Oooh you're in for a treat! What have you got left? I'm sad the Kharkanas trilogy is on hiatus
yes, my brain is on today, clearly
Maybe you just need a nap 🤣 Or learn how to compound gold
just...consult the cupriavidus metallidurans I guess....
I meant compounding gold in regards to Sanderson's Cosmere since you brought it up. I'm not sure how the bacteria will help your brain not being on, but if it works for you it works for you I guess lol 🤣
yeah, just recently learned about them being discovered to poop gold & took the excuse
Waking up to so many recs, you're all the best! Thank you so much! I'm really excited to pick them up. Guess I need to do some book shopping 👀
I still need to read the kharkanas trilogy and path to ascendency trilogy
Oooh those are so good! I can't wait for The God is Not Willing too
I didnt know about that one! Awesome
Oh yeah it's about Karsa!
I'm late as well, but I can't recommend Robin Hobb enough for any and all fantasy people. She is the most incredible writer, and created the Realm of the Elderlings saga (four trilogies and a quadrilogy). Nobody does character development like Hobb.
Start with Assassin's Apprentice and go on from there
Still a hardcore Fan of the Dresden Files.... ^^
@white meteor Oh, thank you for reminding me! I used to love Robin Hobb's books
If Greek Mythology interests you at all (or even if it doesn't honestly lol) 'Circe' and 'The Song of Achilles' both by Madeline Miller are fantastic books.
The entirety of Coral Island was on fire, and it wasn't my fault
They're soooooo good 🤩
Also, another vote for Circe and Song of Achilles!
song of achilles made me cry so much but its a wonderful telling of the story
Circe 🥺🖤
Something i loved about robin hobb's series was that she put so much thought into the characters' hobbies, like their crafts and gathering materials
It's been a while since he burned a building down.....
Are any of you fans of young adult books?
I love YA fiction
YES i love YA
lmao yes
I have read some YA books and I’m far from a young adult lol
Same same
Yoooo not sure if you knew already but the first chapter of The God is Not Willing is available on tor.com!
Oh damn, you just reminded me I wanted to start those books, so thanks!
please let me squee along with you as you go through them please please
not yet anyway lol
Gotta finish other books first but I'll let you know when I start them for sure 👌
Finished reading Gideon the Ninth the other night. It's a choice selection, 110% recommend to everyone.
I just finished An Ember in the Ashes and WOW was it good
if you read it & wish the dark parts weren't focused on so much....I might suggest you might not like the rest of the series so well
I mean that's fair, but that's the kind of stuff I eat up. As a massive Bloodborne fan the whole thing vibed so well with me.
plus I play Vampires in Age of Sigmar so I mean...skeletons are my bread and butter
not arguing: that is where the worldbuilding gets interesting, & I can definitely respect that they slow warmed readers to the focus on the darker potentials in necromancy....but the 110% recommendation for everyone, I'm less sure on
at least especially the subsequent books, the first one's probably fine to hard sell
Has anyone read A Darker Shade of Magic?
Consider the audio books too. James Marsters (aka Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is an exceptional voice actor, and is without a flicker of doubt the voice of Harry Dresden.
Well as a certain Winter Queen said: An Elemental of Destruction... Hells Bells, I have listened to Battle Ground for four times and this book still gives me the shivers, brings me to tears and makes me want to go to battle at the same time..... Never read something that got me this emotional ever. And I am talking 30 years of reading fantasy.....
I'm unfortunately not an audio book kinda person 😭
I wasn't until i started to go for 2h walks each day even during winter. Walking through a pitch black forest with but a headlamp, you want something to keep you busy.^^
Oh I get that, just I know it's not for me at all. For multiple reasons, going from having headphones for too long and getting headaches to zoning out a lot while listening. That's why I prefer having the words in front of me
My current read! I read a lot of YA but my tastes are all over the place. I’m really loving Jack Ryan book series as well currently.
I own the whole series so far! It’s so good!
Not yet but it is on my list! I read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and really enjoyed it
Yes, I read the whole series! It was amazing. Victoria Schwab is one of my favorite authors!
YA is pretty much all I read and I’m mid-30s. 😆
IT'S MORPHIN TIME!!

Think I am gonne reread the "Schooled in Magic" series by Christopher Nutall again these days.... Anyone read that one?
I’m almost there 🤣
near the end of pet cemetery at the moment
Backing Autumn to say that it's amazing, I love DSoM. I also love her book Vicious!
I'm right there with you!
I need to read vicious!
It's sooooo good, I need to read Vengeful!! 🤩 I only realized there was a second book today when I was making sure it was called Vicious lmao
So I have been playing with an idea, to read out loud one of the books I have here in one of the voice channels, and if people would be interested. Seemed like a fun idea to go through a book, an idea?
I think I mentioned it/recommended it before it came out but One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston came out a couple days ago and I've finally got to (almost finish) reading it and it's very good and I would absolutely recommend it
It's got a ton of LGBT people and poc in it. It's got a bisexual main character and she falls for a subway lesbian (the public transportation not the restaurant) its got mystery and romance and a bit of Sci fi in it
I'm trying to get people to pick that one for my book club!
tfw I'm blazing through the second book of Stormlight and the first novella 🛌
this is so good
Are you talking about the storm light archives books? First book being the way of the kings?
I wish I knew what all I have listened to 100% but after getting my new phone audible didn’t inform me what’s done and what isn’t lol. Some book series that I highly recommend based off what I like are 1. The land a litrpg by Aleron Kong. 2. The storm light archives by Brandon Sanderson. 3. The spellmonger series by Terry Mancour (highly recommend). Last is the throne of glass series by Sarah Maas. There’s plenty other titles I could throw in here as well since I have over 70 books in my audible but than it would be a huge post lol
A bit late, but yeah 😄
Currently at the beginning of Book 3 (Oathbringer)
I just finished this recently and ahhh I love it!! Thanks for the recommendation!! ❤️
! Nice! Happy to hear 😃
Oooh book thread
guys i am in the biggest reading slump of my life and i need HELP. I read 45 books between Jan-May and haven't touched a darn thing since. ;-;
@shadow ore I don't know what you've read so I'll just recommend some of my favorites! World War Z, Pride and Prejudice, and/or Howl's Moving Castle!
Oh! I own the latter 2! Though.. not in much of a mood for classics atm, so maybe i'll pick up Howl's Moving Castle! Hopefully it gets me back into gear
I love Howl's so much! I never got into the second book but the third book The House of Many Ways is almost as good as the original!
@hardy prism the Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard is phenomenal!
Yes! Did you see she's coming out with a new series?
I did!! I honestly can't wait for it. I think she's a great author and balances the "adult" stuff with fantasy!
Last day to get Humble Comics Bundle: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (46 items) https://t.co/lCu3aQ9wp0 #ad
@hardy prism Casey McQuiston's new book, one last stop.
- Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells is a really nice sci-fi. Shorter books.
- The Cloud Road by the same author is a fantasy.
- The Valdamar Series by Mersedes Lackey is a big fantasy world with several series, but are written so you can pick it up in whatever trilogy you want. [I'd suggest The Arrows of the Queen to start]
Would recommend the series Extraordinaries. Its a lgbtq+ superhero story with a delightful mc. its also a coming of age story tackling topics like adhd and grief. The second book Flash Fire just released today and its awesome so far
omg that sounds amazing
anyone have any good historical fiction books? Or books with non-binary characters?
(Ping me if you respond plz!) :)
I don't read much hist-fic, but Sarah Gailey is a non-binary author who writes a lot of non-binary characters, and I LOVE their writing a lot ❤️ I also saw someone recommend A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers on twitter recently and say that both of the main characters are non-binary!
Straight up, if you want some good tokusatsu comics, anything by Kyle Higgens is gold. I've been reading through MMPR and Ultraman, but I strongly recommend Radiant Black as well.
https://twitter.com/Polygon/status/1420041315182682118?s=19
Radiant Black is the weirdest Power Rangers comic you’ve never read https://t.co/B3PU6mfroM
115
Aaa thank you! I’ll look into these! :)
I just finished The Trails of Ultraman #5 and I have two main takeaways, one of which is a huge spoiler
1: ||YOOO!! IT'S ULTRASEVEN!!||
2: WHY YA MAKING ME WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR FOR MORE?!
Slides in with
Has anyone mentioned Brandon Sanderson
We got (these are the ones I have read)
Reckoners, series that takes "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" and applies it to superheroes. It's a "post apocalyptic" earth. First person, late teen boy view.
Cosmere, which is where most of the rest of his books fall. Cosmere novels are intertwined in ways we aren't certain yet, other than canon world hopping. They vary mage-punk, steam-punk, semi-survival horror, "The evil overlord won" style post apocalyptic. Most of these are Bigger Books (stormlight archive in particular has yet to be under 1k pages).
I'd start with Mistborn, or Warbreaker, and work through cosmere novels leaving Stormlight Archive (the Way of Kings is #1) for last
This is also the guy who finished off (ghostwrote) The Wheel of Time
I have so many Sanderson books to catch up on! XD
I've read the first 3 Mistborn, and Way of Kings (and I think one or 2 others; I'd have to check my shelves)
I saw something about the next Mistborn (#8 I think???) Is mostly done on his site and it's just. Time to vibrate
gah I need to binge
to be library (ebooks)! XD
anyone want to see my brutal chaosfest of a work in progress reading plan for 2022?
sure
im writing a book! im 3/4 through writing it 😄 aiming for end of sept to finish
nice nice
i haven't tried anything like that since a nanowrimo years ago
but mb in the future
anyway, here it is
sweet jelly jesus
nearly 400 books color coded in terms of priority and characteristics, radiating outwards from the red circle to the green
i figure i'll narrow it down by christmas
narrow it down to how many? XD
prob about 50 or so
it's for this group whose reading challenges i participate in
you can get an idea of what they'll put together by what they've done in the past, but it changes up enough that it's good to have options
just another thing to play round w/ when covid has me bored out of my gourd
yeah makes sense
thats pretty cool though
id say add mine, but despite being online, it is still a draft XD
what kind of challenges?
there's a classics bingo that has categories like nobel prize for lit, diff literary awards, diff genres, published way back when, etc
there's also read a book published in every year of a particular decade, as well as one for every particular century
and there's an old/new that spreads it out between pre-1900s works, 1900s works, and then classics of any age
they have a bunch of others, but those are the ones that i focus on
oh wow thats a ton though
haha yeah true
anyway, what's your book about? if you don't mind me asking
its a ya science-fantasy
its prolly easier just the link the wattpad honestly
its furstrating cause like i dont wanna reveal stuff, but also stuff builds
so it starts pretty sweet cause protag age, and then as they meet more people, more stuff comes in
coo coo
its more sci than fantasy, but doesnt come off that way at first
i have 18 chapters up so far XD
i have it all figured out
i want to do a trilogy. so ive mapped it
im hoping to finish the draft in the next couple weeks and then finish the final by the end of sept
sounds good
im finishing up my ba in the fall and i work at the same time. so im hoping to get the first book done before that
that'll be exciting
haha yeah. i have to look into ma programs. ill probably wind up moving states
mmm, good luck with that, what with the times and all
yeah hopefully itll be calm by next year around when thatll all happen
if you read it, lemme know what you think
👍
If anybody is into danmei, Seven Seas has just licensed the famous mxtx's novels! If you're a fan of The Untamed, you should preorder it ^^
https://sevenseasdanmei.com/
decided to post to a tiktok about progress to keep myself motivated. well see how it goes (ive never used it before)
I legit pre-ordered the SVSSS and TGCF novels once I saw that link on Tumblr
chilling with my latest batch bought from my fave bookstore in one of my fave coffee joints
❤️ yesssssss
that sounds like a lovely day 💕
:>
I just found out this is happening and I need it immediately
https://twitter.com/TomTaylorMade/status/1425831923721523204?s=19
Quote from the Entertainment Weekly article that announced the story.
"Written by Tom Taylor (Nightwing, Injustice) with art by Yasmine Putri, Dark Knights of Steel takes place in a new DC medieval fantasy world where Batman isn't even the only familiar resident. This world will be changed when a spaceship crash-lands from a doomed planet. But what seems like the end of the world for many is only the beginning of this story. So yes, Superman and Wonder Woman will also be a part of this, along with Harley Quinn, Black Lightning, and more."
It's got Black Lightning. I'm obligated to read this.
im drawing some of my book's characters and... these two next to each other omg X'D i forgot how tall this mf is
if you think i'm overdoing it and/or full of my self wrt to books cause of this, you'd be correct
hey im reading the driest stuff rn. i look like a pretentious prick, but im studying english for college education XD
translated? of bilingual?
also how has it been. that would totally be my jam
you read third body problem? best scifi ive read in the last ten years
(chinese author and translated)
translated
it's been nice getting a taste of authors i've heard about and finding out about less famous others, as well as revisiting my faves
i've heard a lot about third body problem, but I'm not much of a sci fi person
and lol god, derrida
that's the kind of stuff i read when i want the pain
XD i feel that
ulmer is such a bitter pos though. its been a dry, but funny read
i have another by him titled, teletheory and the style continues
him trying to argue that the internet is gonna be a thing and everyone in his field is an idiot in the 80s XD
and then the look at who was right book in the early 00s
lol, amazing
what else people reading? :>
I'm reading through the Left Hand of Darkness again, truly an incredible book.
that author keeps getting recommended to me. hows her style of writing?
Honestly I have a hard time describing it. Left Hand of Darkness uses first person, and is very much in line with the theme of a diplomat to an alien world. It's very descriptive, but accessible.
whats the theme going on?
The concept of the book is a human diplomat on an alien world trying to convince them to join a galactic government, essentially. It almost reminds me of early exploration literature in the style of writing, though it's focused on gender expression and cultural barriers.
le guin and i have had a rocky relationship, but i tend to like her more than not and her 'the dispossessed' is one of my absolute favorites
i have one of her nonfic pieces to read on my shelves, and then i'll have to decide whether i wish to continue actively investing in her bibliography
hmmm welp, i wont know until i give her a try XD
i'm getting pretty dang close to the end of this one. and then itll be final draft
welp, finished the draft. whole book is up
did the first big edit on ch1 if anyone is down for reading a single chapter for feedback
ALSO
whats everyone reading/writing?
new blurb too
nothing much sadly 😭 school is a hassle
also this is very interesting 👀
Thanks :> I've been trying to get it a bit better. Its on Wattpad if you want a link hit me up
ooo sure! i'd love to give it a read
when a book you start is 200 pages longer than expected 😭
this is what i get for not actually checking my physical copy beforehand
ooh what's the book?
anthology of vietnamese fiction from 1975 to 2003
ooh I've always liked local anthologies. Or compilation of folklore/myth
The last one I read is the one by Neil Gailman's norse mythology
Wait I just realized that's from 1975 to 2003. So... How many pages are there? 😂
this one is great
I'm a huge fan of the show (minus the last season) so I'm definitely picking this up tomorrow
https://butwhythopodcast.com/2021/08/23/advanced-review-big-hero-6-the-series-volume-1/
oh i didnt even know they were making books based on bh6
i honestly liked the last season, narratively…would have been nice to have had more but i’ve seen much worse attempts at wrapping things up
return of the book sale hauls
Hey friendos!
Just wanted to pop in because my fiancée’s Second Children’s Book is live on Kickstarter!
If you like kitties, have kids, or just like fun books about cat adventures then I think you’d like it. 🙀
Here you can purchase the book, this book + the previous book, and a few other goodies such as getting you picture in the book and more!
For those that haven’t used Kickstarter before, this is a way to raise money ahead of time to help us cover the costs of book printing and also allow extra goodies to be added.
Please back and share as you can! Hope you’re all well! 😊

Can anyone recommend me some witchy fiction books? Much love ❤️
what kind of witchy? i only know the mature/diabolical stuff of anne rice
IDK if this fits the bill, and it is based on a dark historical aspect, but have you tried R.F. Kuang's The Poppy War?
Ohhhhh that sounds interesting! I'm a big fan of anything historical!
does anyone know of a good fiction story with the protagonist being super lazy and not wanting to deal with the mess that is the plot. I just want someone kinda like gudetama but as a protagonist
I actually don't have a book for that but I immediately thought of a manga I once read, called "Servamp". It features the seven deadly sins reincarnated as vampire-humans and the main protagonist's side kick is "Sloth", who is actually a very powerful being but generally very lazy and couldn't be bothered xD I think that also exists as an anime but I usually prefer the mangas
Oh sounds interesting I’ll look into it.
Sorry if this is kinda late, but if you are into Urban Fantasy books I got just the series for you! The Otherworld Series by Yasmine Galenorn is my absolute favorite book series of all time and it's about three fae sisters who live on Earth but need to protect humanity from demons. Even though that sounds pretty fantasy-y it's great urban fantasy, the first sister is a witch, and the characters in general are very loveable and well written. 🌞
I just recently started to get into light novels. Someone recommended me trash of the counts family. If anyone knows anything similar pls lmk.
I really like the fact that the protagonist is kinda lazy but he is still involved.
'Golden haired elementalist' having similar vibes to 'trash of the count family' lazy over powered female lead with lots of sarcastic comedy
If you like manga with applicable magic system, heart warming fluff and dark at the same time, I recommend 'Witch Hat Atelier' by Kamome Shirahama
😂 my mum just messaged to tell me that she sold my old book series i left there when I moved out.
Me: that’s nice. Which books?
Mum: Robert, Roberts? There were a lot of them.
Me; 😂 Robert Jordan? The wheel of time? The 15 book series that was recently made into an Amazon tv show? 😂
omg nooo
The Raven Cycle book series by Maggie Stiefvater is kinda witchy, kinda supernatural. Also if you like werewolf novels the Mercy Falls Werewolf books by her are my all time favorite.
Witches Steeped in Gold is also good.
Just figured out that there is a book called The Coral Island which influenced The Lord of the Flies‼️😳📖 (Will we possibly get a reference to this hidden somewhere in the game…?🔍)
Can anyone suggest good/gritty Sci-fi books? :)
There are definitely some gritty spots in both of Elizabeth Moon's military science fiction series: Vatta's War and Familias Regnant (Vatta's War is one of my top 10 all time SF series).
Though I guess it depends on what you really mean by "gritty". Charles Stross' novel "Iron Sunrise" seemed pretty gritty to me. And so did Vernor Vinge's "A Deepness in the Sky". Or Neal Stephenson's "The Diamond Age" (all 5 star ratings from me) but YMMV.
ooooh fancy
It cost me a whole lot compared to heaven official's blessing book 1 but its worth it!!
the uk cover is even prettier!
its on the right!!!
I love the UK version!

Yes! I am a sucker for fairytale romance stories 😭💖
I’ve been meaning to buy the original Stardust book by Neil Gaiman which the movie was based on (which I adore) but I’ve seen some readers saying that the book is more dark and boring in comparison. 😕

Why does Percy Jackson Dionysus look like lord Farquaad if he was 75% legs?
Well it came out during the camp Jupiter arc. The newer art is pretty much the same
Why… is this… TRUE?!? 😱
I went thrift store shopping and bought these books on medicinal and culinary herbs (and tea)...

Have y’all ever read the book Eva Evergren Semi magical Witch?
The book is good tier and it kinda feels like an allegory for having a disability
It is very good
What if it’s a more overt reference, like the theme?
