Yess you want to follow the black roots(?) lol I can't remember what they're called. But yes.

Cleaning the ocean also has a fair amount of back tracking, so a point which may not have been open before may be open now. It's good to swim around and check the other adjacent routes. You'll either find roots to follow, or a now unlocked path
