Bugs like that makes me unsure how to feel, about keeping your EA saves once 1.0 is live. Knowing someone has 20+ scarecrows you paid $ for while I only get one copy once the bugsploit is fixed after 1.0 is launched... would mean someone else's $$ is actually worth more than others.

Maybe the scarecrow and chest should be added to the monkey/black market shop or something only if you bought it? I wouldn't care if it didn't cost real $$$

I also like to earn things to a fault. So I feel bad for exploiting bugs like these. I would like to stil, have multiple copies ofthe scarecrow/chests though. If I can only buy one a week from monkey/black market so be it. At least I can still get multis.

I'm not upset by how someone plays the game - again I wouldn't care if the item didn't cost real, actual money. I just think there should be a way, in game, to earn multis legitimately IF you bought the dlc. It's about it being more fair. The bug isn't fixed yet, but it will likely be eventually. So if you bought the dlc, wait for 1.0, the bug is fixed, and you can't get multis but people who played earlier can.... see the issue? "Mods" are not a solution. Adding something in game, for everyone, is. It's not an online game so the devs cannot nuke the duped items. The only solution would be to delete people's saves which the devs want to avoid.

i took me 1 full year in game of working on it almost every day to get 8

Yeah. I passively got to about 4.5, and then just had to grind for two solid seasons in the lave mine. Dashing straight to the mines, and going literally about 25 levels a day.

I guess some tips if you really want to min max the grind, max out the speed upgrade on your pickaxe, so you don't have to rely on ropes to descend levels.

Make sure you buy the sus sword from the Band of Smiles. Raj's coffee ring is another good one, which requires you reach level 20 in the magma mines, the ring of speed is another good one.

I would buy bread from the store for energy, and definitely don't use your slime for food, you want to save that for the slimes of transmutation.

Don't attack the bat right away, you can't hit them for the first few seconds after walking by/ descending a level. Instead just run past the bats, they'll come to you.

It's optional whether or not to max out double drop, rare drop, or "no energy loss" on your pickaxe enchantments, but I went with double drop and rare drop. Since the energy loss can be supplemented with bread, which is cheap.

I have found lower levels seem to have more monsters, so start lower.

Levels with elevators never have mobs, so make sure to start by going to a level with a ladder down (levels that are multiples of 10 I think), that way you don't have to start by hunting for a hole to jump down. So for example, I start on level 10, and am able to immediately descend.

||Osmium ore. It sells for 150 each and if you go through the fire mines with lots of stuff to boost ore drops and rare item drops, you can get tons of it in one day.||

Full setup is as follows (most of this is shown in the screenshots I posted): ||Osmium pickaxe with max level enchantments of 'rare drop', 'hit drop', and 'extra drop.' Blessed opal ring from one of the chests/containers on one of the mine levels in I think the wind mine (could be fire though, I can't remember for sure, but it was one of the later ones). Ring of speed for faster tool use (also from a chest in one of the earlier mine levels). And level 9 mining with the following perks/traits/whatever they are: double ore, rare rocks, rock domino, and geode finder. Rock domino and geode finder have less impact on money but are useful for breaking more rocks quickly and getting tons of gems you can use for all the tool enchantments. It does take some investment to get things started but even just running opal ring + double ore can get you a decent pile of cash if you're in the fire mines.||

the v0.3 update in March had changes to skill tree stuff and as such bc perks were redone, every file had skill points reset (now earn 1 skill point every 2nd level)

if you played from v0.1 (oct 2022-dec 2022) & got skills leveled close to or at lvl 10 during that time, those levels are preserved

How far into the game are you? It's a cutscene you get going into town after pufferfish opens (we figured out the day timeline in the beta but i don't have it on hand. You could unlock the hotspring by day 7/8 at minimum if you got everything in a certain order)
