I've always found Intels solution to look the cleanest when I've tried it in another game vs FSR 3, only in terms of aliasing, I gotta crank the sharpness to help keep it sharp below ultra quality mode.

The only reason why NVIDIA do better at their AI upscaling is because its a hardware based solution, Rather than it being Software based, the only real advantage to FSR is the ability to work on basically any GPU INCLUDING older NVIDIA cards.. to help them breath a bit more life into them.. Like 1080ti for example FSR helps quite a bit in Cyberpunk where the 1080ti feels like its rendered its last frame

Elden ring is good for me though 60fps to 120fps only because it is completely locked at 60fps and the frame times are incredible

Minos, and it isn’t even close.
Spoilers for like, the whole game btw…
P-2 as a level is really cool, and obviously better than P-1, but if we’re look at solely the boss, Minos wins easy.
- Starting with gameplay, Sisyphus is obviously a lot harder, but i don’t think that makes him more fun, each one of Minos’ attacks is clearly telegraphed, so when you learn what is what, it is 100% possible to dodge all of them, fighting Minos feels like a game of chess, where your constantly punishing each other for missing attacks. Whereas Sisyphus is similar, it feels a lot more “all over the place,” less attacks are indicated and the ones that are are a lot harder to dodge, as they are quicker and have a larger AOE. Now don’t get me wrong, the difficulty is fun with Sisyphus, and it’s more rewarding, but it just doesn’t compare to the song and dance of Minos. (I will say though, P-2 is a really fun gauntlet to do before the boss, much more fun than the spinal staircase, and the cop-out is really unexpected.)
- From a lore perspective, while the mythological tale of Sisyphus is really cool, and it’s incorporation into the overall story of Ultrakill is really well done, it simply is not as thematically powerful as Minos and the Lust Renaissance. Whereas Sisyphus is a tyrannical warlord, rebelling against the more tyrannical heaven. Minos is a noble man who simply looks for peace. He built up the Lust layer into an entire civilization, just because he thought that eternal punishment for the crime of love was unjust. When confronted by Gabriel, he did not want to fight, and offered Gabriel peace, where he was struck down, and forced to watch his own husk destroy what he spent so long building up. Sisyphus was just like, “yeah, heaven sucks, and we’re going to lose, but i’ll fight anyway.” (Granted I do think the Greed Insurrection is really cool still.)
- I’ll make this one short, War simply isn’t as good as Order. The song that plays during a bossfight is arguably one of the most important parts of said bossfight, other than the fight itself obviously, but I feel like War was slightly rushed, and did not get to capitalize on its full potential. Order not only uses the Requiem motif 100x better than whatever motif War uses, (I forgot because it’s so forgettable…) but also, i just think it sounds better. TLDR: War makes me go: “waow!” Order makes me cry. (Also the pun of having Order in Chaos is not lost on me.)
- Finally Stephan Weyte did a slightly better job voice acting than the Disco Eleysium guy. He nails the monologue at the start and end of the fight, and his fight fallouts have so much strength behind them, I feel like i’m being judged when I fight Minos, I can tell that I’m the bad guy here. Sysphus just sounds kinda cool… I do like his death monologue though. (fr tho, I just like when minos shouts die…)
- I will say though, as a small aside, I think the aesthetics of Heresy are LEAGUES, cooler than Gluttony, and Hakita, I’m only kinda into vore, I don’t want to fight this guy in a squirming goopy stomach cavity… Sysphus gets a point for cooler arena…. and i’m not into vore guys…
