Things you can try if the "Import voice" button isn't working:

First, make sure that you have a stable connection and nothing could be blocking Voicemod from working properly (VPN, Antivirus, Firewall)

Maybe you just have to wait a little longer (might be the server or your connection taking too long to process it)

• Fully close your browser and Voicemod (from the system tray) and try again.
• Fully close both and try again by launching the browser first and then Voicemod (or vice-versa).
• Try with a different browser, the one you're using might be blocking the import process.
• After those fail, try to import while having Voicemod in different tabs or with different active voices (or if you already tried with different voices, try with the clean voice on).
• Opening specifically the Voicelab tab and trying to import, or going back to the Voicevox tab afterwards could fix it too, it's exactly the same as the previous point but there might be a connection between that tab not loading properly sometimes and thus not letting you import the voices.

If none work, try reinstalling (export your settings first to create a backup).

If it STILL doesn't work, you might want to contact support writing a ticket in https://www.voicemod.net/support/

Well, a freemium program like voicemod allows you to test their program out before subscribing to a monthly or lifetime license. Its great for movie making because of the rich amount of preloaded voices and the Voicelab allows you to mess with all sorts of settings. I record audio with Audicity which also has a built in effects options, but I haven't used it because VM is "easier" . Additionally, you get a soundboard to play sounds live, but since its a movie you won't need them because you'll throw those directly into your editor.

I've made 1 three minute video with my family that others in a "hidden" chat have seen. It's very amateur but I had blast doing it and will probably make more in the future.

So, I'm trying to make/find a voice for a final boss in a D&D campaign and trying to make it sound fitting to the character but not distorted and hard to understand

I suggest adding a close to equal double pitch, gives it more boom when it speaks and adjust it to a point it's deep and understandable. I also suggest adding in a reverb with the mix low and the room size to your liking, but I suggest around about halfway if that helps

That's Voice acting and requires quite a dynamic that involves hitting your throat lightly on the side to make the laughing sound, if done right it shouldn't hurt but it takes a lot of practice

I will mix a loop fire crackling in the soundboard

Hey there, I'm wondering as I'm hosting a StarFinder Pen & Paper session which is a SciFi Fantasy Setting with a lot of aliens/funny creatures, to recreate some of the weirder ones with special effects - roboticwise there's a pretty wide spectrum of moods that are already covered in Voicemod, however I've seen little to none posted that do just very slight changes to the voice or add small creepiness without being over the top -

Does anyone know if you can add the likes of (Referencing mass effect here) Garrus/Thane, the former having basically a double pitch voice with a small delay (Double pitch is there, but can you delay the pitch as well?) and the latter having some type of "bug/insect" sound in their voice - it doesn't necessarily need to be those specific voices, I'm just curious on creating more alien sounding voices without it sounding too silly or too artificial

The Image you’ve put is off a Elite Combine. And they don’t talk at all. The Soldiers however of course do. However I know a lot of people for example when I’m in VRchat people think it sounds cool when I use a deep sounding voice as the Elite Combines. They however as I said don’t have a canonical voice since they don’t talk. So ya could technically head anywhere with it.

theres a preset voice called man to woman but its not that great. it sounds better if you use pitch and just pitch your voice up like 5 points. clownfish voice changers sounds way more realistic for girl voices then voicemod.

I need some help figuring out how best to emulate an audacity effect for a voice. I'm doing an Empress Caiatl impression, and have it down using audacity's pitch down, but I'm finding it hard to replicate in voicemod. If it helps, the pitch down is from F9 to D#/Eb9 semitones: -2.21 (Frequency shift of -12%)
I've tried the pitch and double pitch settings in voicemod but it doesn't sound quite the same, I know that voicemod can't really do the same thing as audacity as it's live speech as opposed to post-editing but any help would be appreciated!

Since those voices mostly call for accents, that can't be done with VM. The most I'd say is lowering your pitch slightly if your voice is normally higher than what you'd like.
