It's not really possible to make one that completely scrambles your voice, as far as I know, but there is a DT preset here already that does a pretty good job of it. You could always add some more distortion to it to make the effect stronger.

I’ve found that the Sundrop voice in #🧪┃voice-library works really well for GC if you raise the pitch slightly and voice act (not too hard- just raise your own pitch lmao)

By talking in your normal tone and voice with the filter, it'll seem like that. You'd have to act out the voice on top of that to get the effect to sound like the samples.

I got some help from another member and the voice to be honest is almost perfect. But there is something off about it and I cannot wrap my head around what it might be. Like I have to lower my personal voice pitch quite a bit but I can’t just talk and get it right and it hurts a bit I don’t know if I can somehow do a few final changes to it. Also maybe just a notch less robotic? Idk man I’m trying so hard to get it wrong I am doing a cosplay as a surprise for my community and kinda want to have the full thing including the voice

Well, you can try but like I said, software can only do so much. You can help yourself more with hardware but that comes with a cost... Though using hardware + software + voice acting can make perfect. Just remember, John Marston is all voice acting, and the second you layer something on top of your voice you'll likely be breaking the realism of it (for most cases). That's not stopping you from trying though...

Hardware solutions use direct waves modification before it goes to your computer, it's extremely expensive since you need a 100$ mic with a 500$ voice modifying device or pedals, so yeah, it has less limitations compared to software but software also comes with some benefits

Software side, you get the lab, presets, soundboard, bigger tweaking range, etc.

Please make an announcement when better human voices are available. I don't think it's all the software vs hardware debate or effects vs acting. It's just that Voicemod is not the best software. I'm going to look into another one I heard today that comes with more realistic and more human voices, better starting points at least.

Software vs Hardware isn't really a debate, that's just reality, each has it's own advantages and limitations, all you have to do is know how to use them to their best potential :P

Also, I do think Voicemod is the best, as a voice actor I've used many options through the years and ended just keeping this one due to it's ease of use, constant updates and all the features 🙂

So far, your most realistic software option might be something more like a DAW

I've used FLStudio during Livestreams, but since the effects are a much higher quality, the latency is massive

7-25ms for simple effects, up to 100ms for more complex stuff

Also, music production software is a tad more expensive, but you could get the trial and play around a bit first...

If you do get it make sure you install the optional "FL ASIO", you need those drivers to use it live

Highly depends on your pitch, but since it's a purely human voice I'd say it's just voice acting. On the other side you could try with the double pitch and humanizing off, both pitches at the same level and bring it down according to your actual pitch.

The raspiness can be faked if you can croak your throat a bit, but be careful not to hurt it

Luckily for you, that's a bit easier to achieve, try double pitch (both at the same level) humanizing off and lower the sliders slowly. Mix always 100%, some voice acting and voilà

You can also try that double pitch and the normal pitch at also the same level as double pitch to add a bit more bass to your voice
