To make a good voice with the voice lab its mostly trial and error, that's how you get better at it, also JoJo's voice is very hard to do because its just voice acting, if you want to make a decent JoJo voice just test out the voice lab with your voice and see what you can do by adjusting your voice with the pitch,

Just to interject not just to this convo but for anyone else wanting to understand these intricacies. When a voice just sounds like a regular human, the only thing you need thru the voice changer is the Power Pitch if your voice is lower or higher. Specific accents and line delivery is all voice acting. (Unless VM decides to make a VERY specific AI voice of the character and it's the English voice) In the case of Jotaro, if your voice is higher, just lower it with Power Pitch but the "Japanenglish" he speaks in and his vocal delivery is just VA. The demo below is all my regular voice and no filters cause I have a deep enough voice.

Here's Dagoth Ur. It was pretty simple since it was mostly just Reverb. I have a deep voice so if your voice isn't as deep, just lower it with PowerPitch.

No, not really. It just comes down to voice acting and microphone quality.
I guess if you wanted it to sound a little like it’s coming from an IPhone you can through on a slight muffle effect. Very tiny to make it sound as though it’s coming from a phone speaker

It would involve a little bit of monotone, but not very much, and just trying to move your voice to the back of your head while talking a little soft to make it sound as though it’s distant.
Since the Siri voice almost sounds soothingly distant.

Hey guys, I'm new to Voicemod, so please consider me a noob. I'm trying to get an ethereal effect, something like Protoss from Starcraft series have. From what I have heard and read, to achieve this, audio has to be reversed, reverbed and reversed back again with keeping the original track (not to mention pitching it) I have it all found, excluding this reverse effect. Is it even possible to get that effect within Voicelab? I have found this Mechanicus voice that @hidden ginkgo made some time ago, and it's something already, but not necessarily what I'm aiming at.
Also if you could suggest some good tutorials to begin with, I would be thankful. So far I have only found guides on certain voices, which is something I guess

@tardy wasp hey man. Well, I'm interested in the app, but I want to mess around with some of the advanced features before I buy it. What I'd like is to imitate GLaDOS, and that requires 'pitch correction' - ie autotune.
I've seen Magic Tones, the voice - which does something similar but it does it on a timer, rather then dynamically shifting pitch.
a)what is the 'filter' that uses to do that,
b)is there something 'more' autotune in the app?

Not sure if the problem is solved but if you want a GLaDOS voice then you might need Voicemod Pro (that costs money) and you can get access to all the voices and the one that you might need is the voice changer called ”Evil AI” or something like that

I dont think you guys quite realize that unless you use voice.ai to change your accent and vocal resonance you're not going to sound like a girl, or trump, or anything like that. That's all done though voice acting. Voicemod is filters and pitch and other effects, and most of the voices done still require voice acting.

Voicemod isnt going to help you with that, it doesnt use ai and fancy tricks to synthesize any voice, you're gonna have to do that yourself.
