Hello,
V2 is on end of life phase. It does not receive any new updates or bug fixes. V2 servers will be shut down and you cannot use it in any form in future.

V3 is coded differently. Devs made whole new code from scratch that is compatible with more devices/os. That is why adding same features that were in V2 is not so fast.

The code base in V2 and V3 is totally different. V3 support more things in future. Better OS compatible.

So it takes some time to make everything work on new code base.
