Does anyone think this software will ever catch up to the non-robotic sounds Elleven Labs gives us?

Eleven labs is not in real-time

If they aimed to have 30-50ms of latency, then it would sound very robotic also in real-time.

So no is the answer, Voicemod will always be focusing on real-time voice changing for gaming.

The roboticness will certainly improve over time when hardware and our audio tech improves, but it's a long way off still.

I'm a community manager so yes I am biased.

But I am also a long term voicemod user way before I started working here.

I would say, if you are already on V2 right now, then play stay on there. It's taking us a little bit long but we will have a way to export and import your data to the new app (at the moment it doesn't move your custom sounds or voices over).

Other than that, me personally I think it has improved a lot over V2.

There are some issues still that are being worked on. Like some keybind features missing.

The voice quality is always improving so should sound better, UI is starting to be more friendly.

Community voices are up to date and more will be coming soon when we allow people to upload custom voices again.

So TLDR: if you want more from your pro, it is worth moving. There are so many new voices you might be missing out on and more community content.
