I’ve been holding back for a while, but this situation is becoming a real problem.
You’re heavily promoting V3 while making it extremely difficult to get V2. If V3 is supposed to be the future, then why hasn’t the API been integrated yet? Many users want to try V3, but they also rely on third-party apps that have worked seamlessly for years.
I understand that development isn’t finished, but in that case, why is V3 the only version available when clicking "Download"? There’s no clear or easily accessible way to get V2, even though many users still need it.
On top of that, there’s no consistency in how V2 is provided. Some users see a download option hidden after V3 has already started downloading, while others don’t see it at all. Why is this happening?
This lack of transparency is causing confusion across the community. Many users are reaching out to third-party apps, assuming they are broken, when in reality, those apps can’t do anything about it. All they can do is inform users that the issue comes from the missing API in V3. This situation isn’t fair to users or developers who have supported your ecosystem for years.
Please reconsider how you’re handling this transition. Making V3 the default is understandable, but there should be a clear and accessible way to download V2 until the API is fully implemented. Right now, the lack of communication is creating unnecessary frustration.
A bit more transparency would go a long way.

It is not about that V2 works. It does. But you don't communicate it on your website. You make users download an app, they want to use it with their streaming app, and it doesn't work. The usual user blames the app to not update their integrations. So again the app has to blame you not informing people.
That is a back and forth game that could be avoided.
As you said Stream Deck is working with V3. That is correct. But different. Just VM needs to make this method available 😉
And about the download...there is no selection menu. You click download and it starts downloading.
But tbf it seems there isn't even communication here between your devs and mods as it seems you all are not completely updated about the situation?
