When using Meta Quest with Oculus Link (PCVR), the Voicemod Key hardware is not required.

To fix the audio:

1. Ensure the Quest Microphone is set as your input device in Voicemod.
2. In your Windows Sound Settings, make sure the Voicemod Microphone is set as your default device.
3. Check that the Oculus software on your PC has the Quest 2 mic correctly selected.

You are opening the wrong Control Panel. You need the Windows Control Panel, not the NVIDIA one.

1. Press the Windows Key on your keyboard.

I am unable to use my persona in VoiceLab anymore. There is constant background noise even when I am not speaking.
It was working perfectly before, but after the introduction of VoiceLab 2.0, my persona became unusable.
I did not change any settings.

There is constant static noise whenever I turn on my persona.
I have already checked, and the noise is not coming from my headset.

Like, before you could just select as many sounds as you wanted to add to a soundboard. Now I have to individually search every single sound I want to add, and have to add them one at a time? That is the worst "upgrade" I've ever heard of. Very anti-user friendly

But I don't remember the exact name of each individual sound. That's what's frustrating. It's like I need to have two tabs open to find all the ones I want.

It used to have a genre setting to select between, now you kind of just have one large library you have to scroll through.

I get wanting to prioritize the "voice" section of Voicemod, but the old version was a lot easier to navigate and I could bulk add as many sounds as I wanted instantly. It's just going to take a lot of time to get back what I had before.

You most likely need to check your mic settings across windows. It could be your mic itself, since with voicemod on there's a built in limiter to prevent it from being super loud.

Mic input is defined as the physical input in VM, System Comms default is VM, Default Mic is VM. Audio Ducking Off. Gain controlled by physical adustment on Mic setup, can stay at 100 in App. Voicemod Off results in the Hear Myself being the expected level. Voicemod on results in 100+% increase in output volume in hear myself.

Clean mic increases output - like it's trying to make up volume somewhere. When I "disable" VM (the power button), I should hear the same as Clear Mic / Hear Myself. There should be no alteration.

Voicemod on has compression to make sure all mics are set to the correct volume.

So worth if you already have a compressor setup to just let voicemod do the work, or you can lower the voice volume down to 80% which tends to bring it back to normal

Thanks, in that case you are best using GPU as it does not feature dedicated NPU procesing.

It's in beta right now, so we will work on hiding options which are not available.

But try it for yourself with GPU enabled, go use a voice like Genki see how it sounds and then go back and disable it and try the voice again to hear the quality difference.

You may notice better quality but a bigger delay to hear yourself with GPU enabled. So up to you to decice what you like!

My issue is i need to see a visual of the mic being muted and unmuted. the game i play isn't showing in the list of registered apps so the only way for me to get a visual is adding in a browser source in my streaming software. But that verlay only shows a visual of the voice i am using. it's not showing me if the mic is muted or not

@charred holly So I've been testing hardware acceleration on vs off, with GPU. I would say that with it on AI voices sound less "robotic" than with it off. With NPU I would say it sounded kind of the same as with it disabled in my case. I don't really know what differences I should be trying to listen to, so I can't really tell if NPU makes any real difference for me, but I would say that I noticed the most differences with GPU hardware acceleration.

Also, I think my processor has an NPU. It is an Intel Core Ultra 9 275hx. Should it be using that? Or does hardware acceleration only use GPU resources?

It's still in beta so it might be working as expected since you have a dedicated GPU, it's best to leave it on GPU for now.
