But after using this external mic, the input sometimes moves and sometimes doesn’t. To fix your input detection with the new microphone, try these steps:

1. In Voicemod, go to Settings and ensure your Rexus Snare is selected as the Input device.
2. Adjust the volume slider to ensure the signal stays out of the red zone.

4. Disable Echo Cancellation in the Voicemod settings as it may interfere with signal detection.

Basically, when I try to edit a sound in the soundlab editor, I can't hear any audio. But when I play the same sound outside of the editor, I hear it just fine. It's only when I play it in the editor that I can't hear the audio. I tried redownloading Voicemod several times, as that's worked before, but this time it hasn't for some reason

This issue often occurs when using the wrong output device.

Ensure your Output (Headphones) in Voicemod settings is set to your actual physical headset/speakers and not the Voicemod Virtual Audio device. The Virtual Audio device is only for internal bridging and won't play game or editor sounds.

Hi! For a robotic character, you can use the Robot or Alien presets as a base.

To get that breaking/cracking effect:

• Use the custom controls in the voice settings to adjust the Pitch and Reverb.
• In Settings, adjust your Input device slider to the edge of the red zone; this can cause intentional clipping/distortion when you speak louder.

To fix your audio echoing in Discord streams, try disabling the "Use an experimental method to capture audio from applications" setting in Discord.

Additionally, check these Discord voice settings:

• Disable Input Sensitivity (set to -70db).
• Set Noise Suppression to None.

Check that you have Background Effects enabled in the bottom bar of the Voicemod app. Some voices, like Chimp, include background music/sounds that can be toggled on or off.

If you fulfill all system requirements, try this.

• Uninstall Voicemod, select delete all Voicemod settings.
• Restart PC and reinstall the new version as administrator
• (Unpin old Voicemod icons from Windows Taskbar if you have any)
• Run Voicemod as administrator.

It is important to update latest Windows updates and optional ones.

If you still have some problems, I recommend doing this.

Run DISM and System File Checker.
These two fix all corrupted and missing Windows files.
(Note: it can take many minutes until DISM is finished so be patient)
