You don't see people on an older version of discord, so the same thing will happen with voicemod Keeping everyone on the newest version possible only

(It's winded, but it's what the community actually thinks.) Comparing this to Discord does not really apply. Discord has always maintained a single evolving version, while Voicemod had a stable V2 that many users relied on. This is not the same situation.
From what I have seen across discussions, a lot of users are not asking for V3. Many are actively trying to go back to V2. I rarely see people praising V3 as a clear improvement, but I frequently see people frustrated and wanting the previous version again. Not to mention you're warning them that V2 will become unstable (Because you chose to make it unstable) giving them no avenue BUT V3, I am 100% that majority were on V2 before you used alarmism. Because of that, citing a statistic about only a small percentage of users remaining on V2 comes across as more dubious than credible and a rather shoehorned in misleading statistic when it does not reflect what the community is visibly expressing.
The concern is not just about updating. It is about unresolved issues in V3. Are there fixes planned for GPU related visual artifacts, not to mention a seemingly lower quality audio service being provided, workflow inefficiencies in voice organization, and missing or replaced original sound effects?
Also, migration is being presented as the key reason to move, but many users are reporting failed transfers and data loss. If migration is not reliable, forcing the switch feels premature.
Can you clarify what specific technical or operational reasons make it necessary to fully deprecate V2 instead?

All I'm saying is voicemod has moved to a single evolving version.

Those who complain are always the loudest, but Voicemod has over 5 million users now on V3 who seem to be very happy.

It's all about perspective, whilst I appreciate how hard it is to move over to something where you are so familiar, it is something that will eventually happen as you can tell by the banner message.

I have seen the team work really hard to get V3 up to quality standards, I know personally there are some things missing from V2 which I would hope are there before V2 gets shut down. Just know that you and everyone else who brings up issues with V3 are seen, the team will continue to make improvements.

If it helps, I know we have had so much user feedback throughout the course of V3's existence.

The decisions haven't made lightly and they also haven't been made quickly, V2 is still available and we are not aiming to avoid public outcry.

I know the team have done everything possible to keep V2 up and running, yes I know it has become more unstable due to the main focus now being V3 but that is to help in the long run make Voicemod the best it possible can for everyone possible.

Right now there are no plans to shut down V2 fully, nothing set in stone, we are just trying our best to move people into V3 for newer content and PRO deals. This is more for the free new users who should only be on V3 at this point.

Existing PRO V2 users we are still working out the best way to get the rest to move across, so all of this feedback does help.

As much as a poll would help clear up the situation between me and yourselves, it might just cause more discourse about the topic, when people see V3 is more popular and it doesn't fit their beliefs they may become even more divided and as a community manager that is not something I will be perusing.

I understand creating an entirely new format based on the previous bones of your work can make a more clean and maintainable architecture to work on in the future.

Minecraft was written in Java and they have to spaghetti code a script and Hytales written in C++. I would argue that V3 UI is much too complicated being the first issue and makes it more overwhelming to use.

Visuaul artifacts never showed on V2, it was simple enough to have fun with, it didn't feel like moonlighting an advanced control panel and a labrinth of unnecessary buttons. I believe it's just not sorted well. But this is all going based off of my previous experience of V3. It's been about 4 to 7 months now. I'll give it another try and possibly see if anything's changed.

Hi! To match your audio settings in Voicemod, you can use the Mixer Mode:

1. Go to Settings > Audio.
2. Open the Mixer Mode tab.
3. Adjust the various audio channels to align with your OBS configuration.

Also do note, because voicemod has some processing already. You may not need any audio filters to be applied to the mic in OBS.

best to just use the Voicemod mic as is and let the app do all of the audio processing, since it naturally has some compression, noise gate and noise reduction.

1. Open Settings in Voicemod.
2. In Input device, select your actual microphone.
3. Adjust the slider so your voice is clear and avoids the red zone.

Voicemod doesn't "connect" to apps directly. To use it in Roblox on PC:

1. Keep Voicemod open.

But maybe checking in the voicemod settings, then mixer mode to make sure your soundboard volume is not set low.

Another solution could be in windows volume mixer checking the voicemod volume is at 100%.

Another would be system sound settings, checking the voicemod mic is not lowered in volume.

Or in discord #🚀┃setup-voicemod check the settings are correct.

Hi! Voicemod Key is designed for Quest 2 and 3 standalone use. It is not currently compatible with PSVR2.
