If you are on macOS, there is a known issue where system updates can cause the virtual microphone to be ignored. Please try these steps:

When I add custom sounds in Voicemod and then assign them to buttons on the Stream Deck Neo, the sounds don’t update. I have to manually restart the Elgato software before the sounds appear. Is V3 just incompatible with Stream Deck in general nowadays? I haven't used VM for several months and begrudgingly made the move to V3 since V2 requires a license to use your custom sounds. I can't get V3 to pair any of my custom soundboards and when I add new sounds to the lone soundboard that shows on Stream Deck, I have to restart Stream Deck just to get it to refresh the list of available sounds. It's a mess. I'm assuming V3 + Stream Deck is cooked?

Hi! To filter out keyboard typing sounds, you should use Voicemod's built-in noise reduction tool rather than Windows' or Discord's filters.

To fix audio cutting out and quality issues, adjust these settings in Voicemod:

  1. Go to Settings and ensure your Input device is set to your actual microphone.
  2. Adjust the input slider so the signal stays out of the red zone.
  3. Disable Echo Cancellation.
  4. Disable Input Sensitivity (set it to at least -70dB).
  5. Set Noise Suppression to None.

In Discord, make sure to disable all automatic noise suppression and echo cancellation features, as they can interfere with Voicemod's audio.

Hi! This is often caused by your Windows Firewall blocking the connection. Please follow these steps to unlock Voicemod:

  1. Open Control Panel > System and Security.
  2. Select Allow an app through Windows Defender Firewall.
  3. Locate Voicemod in the list.
  4. If it's not there, click Allow another program… and browse to C:\Program Files\Voicemod Desktop\VoicemodDesktop.exe.
  5. Ensure both Private and Public checkboxes are selected for Voicemod.

To mute your microphone, ensure that the Voicemod microphone is not muted in your Windows Sound settings:

  1. Right-click the speaker icon in your system tray and select Sound settings.

  4. Make sure the volume is up and the icon is not muted.

In the app itself, check the bottom bar to ensure the "Voice Changer" and "Hear Myself" toggles are set to your preference.
