that's not supported by voicemod, so you'd need to find something else to send music down the mic.

Elgato Wave Link 3.0 can do it, then just put that as your mic in voicemod

Ok this is a really really old issue which was fixed.

There is no update window, so you must be on a direct version. You should be on our launcher which auto updates in the bg for you without needing to do it manually.

And also don't pin voicemod to your taskbar, it will bypass the launcher and break it. Just set voicemod to open with windows in the setting or open it from your start bar.

The issue is the one pinned to your taskbar is not the launcher.

So do it this way, unpin, force close voicemod.

Search for voicemod and open it in the start menu

Then open voicemod

and then you can pin that one

it will fix the issue

Voicemod is not starting properly. It says there's an update, but when I try to install it, it says this update is already installed. If I try to reinstall it, it closes, and forces it to start again with "You've got an update available" window. If I click no to reinstalling it, it just closes, and makes me go through the "You've got an update available" window as well. I have tried both yes and no to the reinstall option multiple times with 0 changes.

I don't know what to do, nor what caused this. My PC restarted earlier today, and now its stuck like this. Can somebody advise what I should do???

Got a bit of a doozy here: after plugging in a usb style blutooth headset into my computer voicemod will not connect to my vr headset (ie. works on the G21 lightspeed headphones, but not the steam streaming microphone), i tried to unplug the headphones and reset voicemod settings but it hasn't work. ive bought a voicemod key off some website (legit) from a verified used it should be a one month key when i tried to activate it, it didnt work but thats not the reason im here (well almost) anyways the reason im typing here is that when i accidentally deleted few leters from the key it still said that key was used so i tried changing the letters and combinations again and again but every time literally said its been used does that mean that yall are doing keys letter after letter? or what cuz its so wierd..

Can someone help me configure my mic to work for my Meta Quest 3, I followed all of the steps for it. The vmkey is still not detected. I can hear myself with the altered voice but no-one can hear my altered voice. I turned on the external microphone toggle and I have a USB-C to 3.5mm Aux adapter

So, i just tried it myself with GrayZone Warfare and Team Fortress 2
and my best guess is either

1. the game is blocking it due to either not being able to support the overlay for some reason
2. the anti-cheat is blocking it from appearing, since alot of cheat menus use overlays for ESPs and such.
3. The overlay function is not fully supported by voicemod thus some games work with it while others don't
4. The overlay only works with games that don't already have a overlay enabled.
   Since both GrayZone and TF2 didnt have the overlay working.
   Im gonna guess its either 3 or 4.

i really dont know then you could try troubleshooting further or just use some sort of virtual machine it gives you almost the same result as the script except for the virtual machine being simpler to set up but it may use more system resources since your running a full virtual machine instead of just a container

This might be a long shot, see if you can do a restore point to a previous snapshot of your PC in the windows back up and restore settings

I upgraded to windows 11 and i got the new elgato wave software, how do i get it to pair with voicemod?

This is my setup, but you can have it however you like.

Most important thing is to setup your actual mic and have it added into a second mix, I renamed mine elgato mic.

Then in voicemod have that elgato mic as your input.

you can rename all the mixes

but basically the first mix is your audio what you want to hear, second mix is your mic.

Then voicemod will grab that second mix as the mic.

Elgato controls your actual mic, so you can add better noise reduction, compressor, limiter, EQ. Whatever you like.

It can then just be sent to voicemod, so you get all the quality improvements now with voicemod filters and voices ontop

It's just more control over your audio in windows which is always nice
